  1. no more comments or questions then? i suppose the 15k looks pretty daunting but I just dont have a whole lot of room there...little but not much. like i said though thought id bring it up here first in case any of you might be interested, if it has to go id want it to go to a good home.
  2. "Thats for a 350z or G35. It wont fit a pathfinder. Intake plenums are different." I was going to say that too but when you go to the site it lists the pathy and others as well with the 3.5 might be bs but they might actually make one for the trucks. i dont think its worth 200 bucks though.
  3. LOLz no no hes my little man, my baby is the truck and honeys is my wife.....spose i should have cleared that up too. I did more than that to the truck too, I just havent made a real list yet like new brakes and belts.. anyhow we're going camping with my wifes family this weekend so hopefully i'll get the chance to go cruise around look for some fun i need some new pics anyway since i got the hubs and the rims.
  4. Well it looks like we wont be able to get my son into one of the three full day kindergartens in my area and with our budget theres no way in hell i can afford child care, especially now that I have my family on my insurance at work and took the pay cut to the shorts.....looks like I might have to consider selling my baby just so we can get by, so before I get to the point where i make an ad I was wondering if there was any interest here? ive pretty much posted everything ive done with her and have two hardly used sets of wheels, i guess if you have questions ask or if theres no interest...well hopefully i wont have to sell her because i only started making her what i want her to be but stuff happens......lemme know. the short list 02 SE 80k miles, slightly oversized summer and winter wheels(about equal to 31 in height but thinner), warn manual hubs (fresh install) all syn fluids, took care of the powervalve screws, new plugs. oh yea, i would be looking for 15k to get out of my loan. i suppose thats pertinent info huh?
  5. stock theres a muffler and a resonator down there, what about using two of these mufflers in line, what does that do to the sound? any ill effects there? also what if you used 2.25 pipe to the first muffler then 2.5 or 2.75 to and through the second? im not trying to pull this off in a whack direction here just got me thinking while i was reading this.
  6. Damn theres a few of these that just look great! I wonder whos going to be the first to throw down a price and build a few more huh? huh? huh? huh? huh? LOL
  7. grounds are crazy, friend of mine had a deck in his van and it worked great for like 3 days then it took a dump, he used the stock wiring and turned out whoever owned it before him had the ground looped and we couldnt figure out how it was even working. He returned it and got a new unit, re wired it himself and now it sounds great. im no professional but its usually the simplest things that are hiding right out in the open that bit you in the ass.
  8. wow, that looks really good on your rig! the color seems to compliment it completely - very nice
  9. wow.....even if she is nutz as she probably is, what would you really hope to accomplish with such a small drop off? i mean it was enough to flip the car over but dude thats like what a 6 foot drop at the most?? thats just dumb.
  10. you may already know this but check and double check your grounds too, they can cause some funny issues.
  11. those diamond plate door panels really bring out the tone of your sheepskin...........*BAAARRRFFFFFFF*
  12. heres the thread where i was talking about it grr post i actually used the haynes for this one is it was pretty straight forward, the only real pain part is in the rear passenger side of the lower im if your taking it completely off is slow going with the two bolts and no room to maneuver around them but if your only mission is to check the screws than 1 to 2 hours tops and the only thing i did was had some room to lay out the bolts that came out so i wouldnt mess up the order. you only have to take off the upper half of the plenum and there are two gaskets there along with the TB gasket, all are fairly cheap.
  13. wow thats an old post, and unless i missed something he never came back with pics or any more information. are you using the shorty headers for the Z or something else?
  14. I dont have near the experience that alot of you guys have but before I bought my 02 i drove a 00 xterra, 03 xterra s/c, 00 pathy and mine of course the 02, i also scared the sh@t out of the salesman when i popped the trucks over a curb behind Autzen stadium and drove in the dirt and gravel (boy was that fun) the 00 x to me was a dog and i didnt really like the feel of that one, the 03 had a ton of get up and go and was appointed well but to me wasnt worth the 21k price tag they had on it, but it still felt narrow and not so planted if that makes sense, the 00 pathy was a little weak but felt much better than the x and then well theres mine so you know which way i went there. if I knew about the lack of aftermarket parts for the pathy i may have almost leaned toward the sc x instead but the mileage i heard was just ass. I hope that helps a bit I love my VQ and with my maxima experience will swear by that motor even with the 2k max with its crap dek intake plenum issues.
  15. he sure was...what a boner hehe
  16. Welcome! and hey, when did bikini shots become a requirement...id better dig mine up j/k i wouldnt do that to you guys
  17. thanks, and passin it back to the other dads!
  18. yea i saw how well the lambo did on bullrun this year...... jfwy i would have to take the tour de Japanese on this one: Supra skyline R34GTR 300z s14 or s15 240sx 08 G37 and last but not least another 98 maxima SE that i could actually finish doing what i wanted to do 3.5 swap supercharger yadda yadda i could go on all day about that one
  19. Ive heard this before with different cars people just not believing in topping off but i have never seen an issue with my truck or my cars doing this. in fact that big trip i just took i had i topped off every time, done it before and i just did it yesterday, no light no issues. is this something that builds over time or what?
  20. wow man, im impressed that looks really good! congrats
  21. I was also told by a local "mom and pop" shop that i have had some prior experience with that I should stick with 2.25 as 2.5 or more would adversely effect my torque, thoughts? after we talked about what I wanted for it he suggested a flowmaster 50 series thoughts there too?
  22. You may be a little pre mature for the plug change but I saw lots of difference after cleaning the TB and the plenum, while your in there check those butterfly valves and locktite the screws! beware the brass monkeys (thanks for the name 98) im just over 79k on my 02 and did that plus some other work before an 850 mile weekend, glad i did it
  23. ok well i just got back last night and holy crap the mileage!! i never thought it would improve that much, everything listed above got me at least 4 to 5 miles per gallon back! topping it off i left Eugene with a full tank got to Grants pass after going to the Oregon Vortex with just over half a tank filled again went down the redwood highway just south of klamath CA and then back up 101 to Oregon and didnt stop til Bandon, the next day went up to Lincoln city and filled again for the trip home, almost 850 miles on under 2 tanks, this with the ac on and cruising up hills 2500 rpm 55 to 60 mph....im pretty amazed right now
