  1. my uncle has a 94 i believe, also pretty sure the last year they made them, he absolutely loves his and doesnt want it to ever go away, he just did his engine and tranny at well over 100k the thing is though that the sc is very expensive to have rebuilt and there are certain parts that are simply not readily available, he shops ebay alot for pieces just in case or just to see whats out there, he was a county sherrif for years and was an EVOC instructer for years as well teaching cops how to drive like cops basically, so the car saw lots of highway miles and some fun and he still swears by it... i hope that helps
  2. ...yea that was that scene in tokyo drift where the american kid thought he was gonna get busted and the other guy says if your going over whatever speed they wont even try to catch you hehe just bustin your balls
  3. as soon as someone figures out how to get a charger to work on our 3.5's right after i get done squirting I would be all over figuring out how to get one.....
  4. go him .....but it makes me giggle
  5. so uhhh hows it goin with that man?
  6. well chalk me up to the failing starter club here, mines been doing that on occasion for a couple months now, but im lucky i live a couple miles from a starter and alternator rebuild shop thats been there for years and does great work prolly only run me 40 to 60 to fix whats a miss with it..i havent checked yet how much a pain is the starter on an 02?
  7. +1 for the mini switches, i love all the great ideas here
  8. I might give that a go as well, as i just replaced my wipers all the way around after having my windshield replaced (was so scratched and pitted it was becoming a concern) and i went to the tire center to ask if they had 12" wipers back there cause there were none on the floor and i got all three for $3 each as opposed to the rainX wipers being 8 and change each. they are working great. not trying to jack here just thought i would share the walmart experience, hehe. have you looked into the filters as well?
  9. 5w50 huh? whats your climate swing up there? wonder how that would fly in a 3.5?
  10. especially for the price, i would just use mobil 1 or something that has already been said, i used to have a 98 maxima that had a couple things done to it and i ran royal in that, spendy stuff and i had to order it by the case which was always fun but for a truck i wouldnt see the purpose unless your going to be running some 4x4 rally or something. i use mobil 1 syn in my 02 and love it.
  11. yep +1 on the premiums, no extra parts needed and they are great very happy with that purchase. #29091 FTW
  12. wonder what the shipping would be then?
  13. damn where do you guys get all this octane at? highest i can get here is 91 and here they're all expensive but chevron is continually at least .10 higher than everyone else, its crap! few weeks ago it dropped to 3.11 at my shell (thats what i use) then it jumped back to 3.41, the frikken chevron is 3.49 with diesel at 3.65..ridiculous
  14. woah, shipping on thats gonna cots a buck or two hehehe yea still would like to know though, cause as soon as im able to get the tire carrier id love something like that underneath
  15. have def thought about that myself, would be very interested in the response and pricing in dollars
  16. haven't done any super long trips with mine but i've covered most of western oregon a couple times, longest would have to be 10 hours of straight cruising in winter conditions, but after we got married we took off for a 4 day weekend through southern oregon and up the coast, that was just over a thousand miles and the smoothest sailing
  17. your forgetting the k&n fipk kit for like 250 bucks, lol linky
  18. ok your right thas some f'd up s right there..dont really know what else to say about something like that.
  19. ok im curious, someone wanna pass me the link?
  20. I do believe that the manifold stud issue was with older models, but you definitely have potential to have the power valve issue, with so few miles on it I would be torn between getting in there and making sure its taken care of before anything happens and waiting a while until i need to replace something else while im in there, your not going to need plugs for quite a while and while you should be able to re-use your gaskets, ive never been comfortable with that. If your careful you will only need to take off the top of the upper manifold and you can do the job in the truck... hope that helps.
  21. pretty smooth man, that looks great
  22. wow couldn't have asked for a better response thanks alot! also to address the price question for anyone else who doesnt know, they're cheap! 18 bucks for the pair from the dealer.
