  1. they seem to be having site problems, cant view the pics
  2. wow I just started tearing up some net last night looking for something and all I could find were nasty drier hose diy kits I just cleaned my k&n and found mud spray up inside the box so I decided heck with the fipk stuff I need to go straight to the snorkel and BAM here you guys go talking about it. I also REALLY want a kit for my truck so any details and help would be awsome and when the time comes and i'm able i'd love to get a kit too.
  3. your right, I wasnt thinking....was just thinking external vs internal. lol
  4. OMG!!! how do you even get that???? AWSOME!!!
  5. lol well i'd rather mess with trying to get headers on than pulling heads....unless i'm already in there anyways I was really only throwing it out there to see if anyone else had started to do the homework on this, if I get to the point where I have some cash for it, I might try to test fit something when i actually do get the exhaust going and if something does work out i'll definately let you guys know
  6. added..............its kinda lonely over here, LOL
  7. lol I guess so, before I got this I drove a 2k xterra which felt pretty doggy, then an 02 xterra S/C which was cool but over priced (19+) then I found this for 15k. I'm not really going for super power numbers or anything its just one of the things i'd like to be able to do. The K&N intake with a dry filter instead of the oily one and a full exhaust to compliment my lift and accessories
  8. something like this, only the upper portion or just the shorty headers: these are from a 350Z
  9. I know, but the header/Y combo for the alti and the max is a three to four piece unit so there would only be the well lemme find a pic....
  10. I was wondering if anyone has entertained the thought of using 350Z/G35 stock or aftermarket headers in a custom exhaust setup? have any of you ever compared specs or pictures? what about the shorty headers for the 3.5 altima or maxima? was going over my "wish list" with a friend in chat and we started talking about it. just curious.... discuss
  11. between those two posts all my questions were answered, thanks alot
  12. I've also read it puts a little more stress on things like lugs, hubs or possibly other parts. but whats the stock back spacing for the R50's? are they about 3 or 3.25 and some of you guys are going to 3.75? just trying to figure out the difference. the couple of brand name tire shops in town first told me that a 15" wouldnt work, then that it would and that I would want to stay with a "medium" offset. wouldnt give me a measurement though. one more question, where do most of you guys get your rims? local tire shops, online stores, tire rack?
  13. I was just thinking a cb would be a smart idea to have and bam you guys have a post on it, hehe, those pocket installs cutting out where the h.s. switches would be are really clean! :cool2: i like it alot and will be copying you
  14. I'm in Springfield, so far we've hit a spot or two in Bend, and up in the cascades east and south of us, like summit lake was fun....beginner level stuff but really fun for our families.
  15. wow thats way up there. quite a few you say? i may have to start a new thread then...looking for tips on places to hit for beginners like myself to gain good experience with another jeep driving friend who is also set up as beginner I guess.
  16. Where is this area that you guys are talking about? any one here from Oregon?
  17. so on stock shocks your rear end felt loose with out the sway bar? Any one have longer shocks and the sway bar on for comparison?
  18. Thats what I needed to know! I have no problem leaving the center caps off, I just wanted to know that wouldnt have to mod the rim. Also I shouldnt have a problem with the hubs and some 15"steelies I pick up for winter use. Thanks alot.
  19. What effect does removing the sway bar have on stock height or 2" lift with street driving?
  20. I havent gotten under it myself yet but i'd assume its a flimsy piece of the plastci splash guard and should be easy enough to either cut a bit out, or my preference find a way to perhaps tie it back, bend it zip tie it something, i'm not a fan of just cutting things off, although I am just learning here to so I may end up singing another tune
  21. headers? I dont suppose your working with an R50 are ya? I havent found squat but I've thinking about possibly of the 350Z manifolds, any thoughts? I dont mean to jack the thread or anything just curious.
  22. same story here, its only loud when doing a down hill reverse turn like out of a driveway, made my mother in law jump when she heard it, LOL. We just made another run up Bear Mt. and since there was two vehicles I got a little braver as far as where I went with her and damn, every time I go out I have more fun! #1 and 2 on the list is armor then the 2" lift I CANT WAIT! out in the mud there was no rubbing and no noise at all unless I made one of those turns while backing up. I know the terrain probably isnt much to some of you guys but there was some pretty slick clay and mud logging roads with some good dug out trenches through the middle, was fun climbing back out. also some grown over roads that look like no one has found for a few years....did get some more scratches on the sides but i guess thats bound to happen moral of the story is i'm very impressed with the tires.
  23. 265 70 16 here toyo open country AT's, slight rubbing from front right tire but only when I turn all the way left and am backing up. LOL
  24. not enough of a size increase to see what I needed to see, but thanks for the tip i'll remember that
