  2. hey red I laugh at that gif in your avatar every time!
  3. Also (check the rubber boot that the transfer case (2wd-4wd stick)) Ripped mine during Body Lift and WOW does it come in hot (and I have a cooler) more heat from engine, radiator and tranny pushed by fan blasting in, roll the windows down and it pulls in even more hot air. I need to order the boot but haven't found the damn part # yet. Hope it is something that easy for you also!-) And Welcome to the forum. Mike
  4. Had these guys take care of my Mystery! :tonguefinger:
  5. at least use a piece off sheet metal But if the other half wants a new exhaust for the truck!! Hell Yeah!
  6. Wish I had a plasma cutter (and a bigger garage)! I'll be dropping by Speedy Metals and picking up some steel to start work on the skids and rear bumper. Hell I should just make a full external cage to stop the trees from attackin' my truck. Now it's red with down to primer pinstripes!-
  7. Yep, Always nice to see how to keep our pathies on the road longer. My parts 95 is like rice paper back there... leaned down and brushed against the driver rocker panel and it completely fell off; Mostly paint and rust holding it together. I POR-15'd the frame on my current pathy, and have a 6ft. copper tube that I run 120psi thru do blow all the crap out of my frame rails, damn rustproofing (factory?) on the inside of my frame peels of and blocks the drainholes (along with mud and rocks) Good luck!
  8. Cabbage or beans for dinner?
  9. let me know what you need, will have #3 this weekend (finally get to install the locker!-)
  10. been looking for an open diff to put my locker in; so buying a rusted pathy with an open diff and automatic ($500) (all 3 are red even) Spare parts rule!!!! Am I an addict???
  11. Oof, check the frame behind the rear wheels, may be ugly... removing the sway bar is cheapest route, just don't take any fast turns and you'll be golden
  12. When are you getting the BP skids? I am looking right now for skids, and may be interested unless it is a slow process.
  13. http://www.4x4parts.com/catalog/ (good prices and 3" BL is an awesome 1st upgrade and cheap!-) and http://www.purenissan.com/nissanmain.htm (calmini; I have had excellent luck with steering and 3"SL but it was $$) is mainly where most of my cash went, a little to summit (like the hayden tranny cooler)
  14. no me gusta... but it is very clean and the fabrication is top notch. Just not my style.
  15. Do they have Sheep Grand Cherokee's down under?
  16. Better luck with a Magic carpet or a broom...
  17. Thats the "Black Box" in case of a disaster... it records your screams for help (Wolf Creek!-)
  18. most have a sticker on the rear diff veiwable from the rear. (unless it was removed like mine was!-(
  19. I just unistalled and re-installed until I was spot-on. Funny how it was a Beatch the first few times but now I can do it with my eyes closed in 10 minutes. Think of it this way; once it is adjusted properly you don't need to do it again. The calmini instructions fit on 1 page and it tells you to install and adjust them!-)
  20. I've always crossed mine: Takes a bit of slack out and the crossed would also keep the trailer a bit more controlled in case the ball and tongue somehow disconnected (just my basic understanding; never had a chance to see if it worked and hope I never will)
  21. Dealt with that 2 years ago; and found the best way was to re-wire the boat trailer ($25 waterproof kit from Wal-lyWorld) and it has worked fine for 2 years (no splices to come and haunt me while I'm in the Northwoods also...)
  22. If they are both 4.6 (or 4.3) no need to touch the front if the 87 is 4.3 and the 89 is 4.6 (or vice-versa) yes you will have to either swap gears in the rear or swap the front and back both to keep the gearing matched. As Greg said check the codes on the plate to see
