  1. I have a 92 TD 2.7t and the temp gauge seems to love to Sky Rocket on even the smallest hills This is what I have done so far, all have made a slight improvement but hasnt seemed to fixed the problem First off I did the Themostate, Then replaced the Temp senser and put in an aftermarket gauage to see exactly what temps we talking about, Its normal running Temp is 180 degress Ferherit then on even small hits it will sky rocket up to around 210 degress, typically within 2-3 mins she b back to normal temp, but when thrashing it off road the needle will stay up above boiling point for a long time untill u easy off for a while. I have sinced cheaked the viscous fan that seems all good, so I had the radiator cheaked it looked fine but we recoiled it anyway. She still sky rockets, and I have recently discovered if you run it at full revs for serveral minutes the radiator begins to foam and bubble, thinking @!*% it could be the head we did a compression test that came back all fine and it doesnt appear to be using any oil and the oil is nice and black. I did the themostate a second time, just to be sure, and tested the old one but its not the problem. The only thing that I can think off that could still be the probelm is something to do with the water pump, It has had the sky rocketing temp gauage since I have owned it, but im sure it isnt normal from what Ive learnt from talking to other terrano owners. So anyone got any Ideas???? Also its just clicked over 100,000kms mark, what extra stuff if any should I do on its next service. eg; do they have cambelts that need changing???
  2. Thout Id give an update Finally got round to buy and installing the afftermarket coolier - far out should have done it ages ago, i thought i sounded like a bitch of a job so kept putting it off. Took me mayb 20mins to do it once i actually decided to do it plus changing the trans fluid, n far out that was the problem alright - it used to get real hot on a 20min drive so i dnt dare drive it much futher than that - changed n when for a 5 hr drive across to the snow. she dnt give of anyheat what so ever. ran like she was ment to so stoked wif it now Only wishd I had done it months ago - hopefully I havent done any damage to it
  3. Hi guys Ive recently brought a 92 Terrano 2.7 TD auto. The guy i brought it off said he spent NZ$2700 rebuilting the trans which would be bot 8000Kms ago. I find after driving it with no load in it or tow anything on just the road not off road, ie doing nothing hard work there is a lot a heat comming into the truck from the transmission, and i mean alot its bloody hot. My question is, this surely anit normal is it? n secondly whats causing it, and what should i do about it? Cheers guys ARMZ
