  1. Great post! That Top Gear vid was excellent. Had to turn the sound up nice and high for full effect
  2. Off the top of my head I'm not sure, but IIRC the owners manual has the locations of the adjustment screws.
  3. Yep I was thinking the same thing...
  4. Are these stock bulbs? They're garbage if they are. R50's suffer from poor visibility. I'd simply toss them and upgrade them and see what happens. I know when I got my '02 (in '06) the first thing I did (after almost running off the road in the rain at night because visibility was so poor with the stock bulbs) was toss in some plain Silverstars and have had them since. There's lot's of brands to choose from.
  5. Very sorry for your loss, thoughts and prayers go to you and all the rest of the families affected by this.
  6. You can tap into that power wire too, as well as the ground wire associated with it (that's what I did)
  7. Here's mine, though, wasn't as snug back then. I've since cut a piece of plexi glass and painted it black, to replace the cubby piece that can be seen in this one.
  8. You can use street tires there if you exercise common sense. Stay away from the red sand and be easy on skinny pedal when accelerating from a stop. That's really all there is to it. It's a great place to visit for a day and drive the beaches on. Bring a small grill and have a little cookout on the sand as well! We'll be in Corolla, north of the major tourist points further south.
  9. Yeah, this thread combined with the other one "Pathfinder Crossover". Yikes.
  10. R50 owners can also look at it as a step in the right direction, seeing as we won't be the biggest car-based SUV's in the Pathfinder lineup anymore
  11. If you have AllMode (which you do b/c you have an LE) Trainman's got a great pic. of where he stuck his radio which you could do too. I stuck mine in the cubby a the bottom of the console, but IIRC yours is a bit different. Use a magnet mount if you don't want to drill in the roof, or get a door jam bracket and put it in the trunk. But what Pezzy said is probably your best bet. Just search this forum for CB's...there's a lot of threads that have already been discussed with pics. from various members.
  12. And this surprises you why? Do you forget when platform Pathy you drive? Technically, this has already been done, from 1996-2004
  13. There really aren't many (if any) true to their off road roots vehicles on the roads in the states. Sure everybody will claim that theirs performs admirably against anything they throw at it, but the truth of the matter is, soccer mom's buy FJ Cruisers, with locking diffs. and all, sports "heroes" drive H1's all dubbed out, Heeps are a joke (and recently becoming somewhat of a bling-mobile, at least that's what guys around me are doing) and, with the exception of MAYBE the Xterra, Nissan doesn't make a U.S. vehicle that's MADE for trails and not pavement. There's no market for them here. We have interstates with asphalt, not mud highways like the ones Iron Locust posts pictures of. The majority of people will never make it to Moab, and think hitting the spillway puddle on their lunch breaks and splashing a bit of mud on their doors is "off roading." Some vehicles are just inherently more capable than others from the factory. For what the average overweight, in-debt, 2 car garage owning American father of two kids who are addicted to video games uses the R51 Pathfinder for, it's perfect; pulling a trailer once in a while, shuttling the kids to friends houses, and hitting that familiar spillway mud puddle.
  14. WOW! Great gift! That looks really good. I want to get my hands on one of those now
  15. Myself and a few other guys from a local Xterra club will be at OBX this weekend.
  16. Very politically put...I agree 110%
  17. Yep you're right. And then there's been a lot of pics from people who've lost the heat shield under the front seats created big hot spots. At any rate, it's good of Nissan to take care of the situation.
  18. That NPORA member, maybe 6-8 months ago (can't remember his name) who's WD21 caught on fire...he posted pics of it as well, a white one. Was this what happened to him?? I've never heard of this issue before.
  19. Wow...what's crazy about it is that the small tree may have seemed so trivial when approaching it too. We've all passed an obstacle like that, and what happened to him could really happen to anyone.
  20. CEL=SEL It's the same thing. He knows the R50 lettering is for Service Engine Soon.
  21. My point exactly. What's the state-side counterpart of the Hi-Lux V6? **EDIT** Nevermind. It's just a Taco. I think SW was referring to Landcruisers (landbarges...LOL!) with IFS, not pickup trim.
  22. Which Landcruisers have IFS? FJ 100's? I wouldn't dream of taking one of those through a pi$$-puddle, let alone wheeling one.
  23. That's precisely my point...I was actually thinking of this picture I've seen you post before when I used you as an example a few responses up
