  1. I was gonna say it sounds like a vacuum leak, but if you replaced those hoses I don't know? 2 were cracked, are there only two to replace? Are you pumping the gas pedal when starting? It's a far fetched thought, but when I had my 2k2 Sentra and the ECU crapped out, it would put the car into "safe mode" and not let it rev past 2k RPM's...also the idling would do the same thing (up down up down, etc) But the most noticable problem was the smell of the exhaust, it WREAKED of gas. The problem was the car was running far too rich; an air/fuel ratio issue. Possible computer replacement??
  2. sounds to me like a shop saying it's better to replace pads/rotors/calipers/etc. etc. than just replace two pads and resurface the rotors...a money maker for them.
  3. Thanks for the find...I was thinking about doing this in mine as well. Didn't know you had to pull off the glovebox to do it :o
  4. Excellent find! Wish I didn't have dial-up so opening Adobe wouldn't take so long
  5. I know this doesn't have much to do with your issue, but the overhead light on my '02 keeps going out. The shop ordered me a whole new one finally...we'll see if that helps.
  6. Congrats on the X...have fun and be sure to post pics of a mudded up new truck Good job on the 6-spd. as well!
  7. Careful with those X's...I used to work at a Nissan dealership (in sales...LOL!) and had a lot of friends in the service Dept. The new X's were seeming to come in there all too often for first year glitches (this was early 2005) Not sure about the '06's...do a little research, www.nissanhelp.com www.edmunds.com or even pick up the latest Consumer Reports.
