Careful though, these racks have their issues as well...the wind fairing on mine likes to rattle a bit when I'm on the highway and the head wind hits it JUST right. It's so annoying! It doesn't happen all the time though, just once in a while.

Well done, nice! 2 white please!

Yes the SE should fit an LE Pathy just fine; the chassis/body is the same, just cosmetic differences seperate the two models, though, I think your going to have a difficult time finding a rack...much less buy one as I'm sure they cost an arm and a leg! If my memory serves me correctly the '02-'04 are the Pathy's w/ this rack (I love mine!) It's called a TSB, Technical Service Bulletin and all Nissan dealerships know about these. Do NOT confuse it with a recall though; a TSB means that enough people have complained about a particular issue (i.e. my slight exhaust leak cause by ****** piping!) to the point where Nissan North America says "Ok we're gonna put out a remedy to shut these customers up" (i.e. in my case...a $25 patching kit they'll use to seal the leak) A RECALL is the one where you can get the repairs done 100% free http://www.nissanhelp.com That's your #1 source for technical info. about your Pathy as far as Nissan North America goes.

I got my 02 used w/ 47K miles on it and used "premium" the first tank I went through. Next tank I used Mid-grade and then regular the next. A million tanks later, I still use regular and it's just fine...no detonation. Then again, that's what knock sensors are for. I AM going to get a fuel system cleaning in the near future though. Maybe I'm totally nuts, but the Pathy seems to get better mileage w/ regular gas?

Yep. what you described is the "Nissan Repair Kit..." blahbity blahbity blah. Guess I too will be taking that route. And yes, it is a common issue w/ these things.

I'm sorry for your misfortune but your story really made me laugh!

So I just owned myself... Just got back from the local mud pit and smacked my stocker driver side step on a clay/rock pile. It dented the underneath and scraped up the side pretty bad. Otherwise it's P.S. First damage to my new-ish Pathy -

I personally think R50's look better without the steps. And I wonder just how much abuse they can stand up to...though I'm skeptical to find out -
There's a TSB about the whistling, though I'm not sure if it includes the roof rack you have on your LE (I have the larger one with the Nissan wind fairing on the front of it) Apparently lot's of Pathy's have the same issue. Try sliding your bars back to the rear of the rack and make sure you tighten them down all the way.

It's not from the manifolds (thank God) it's from what LOOKS like the catalytic converters right underneath the front seats, though, I can only see it leaking on the drivers side. CanadianPathyNut I'll probably end up doing just that...taking it to them, or in this case, where I just bought it from and let them deal with it. $25? Did they use the repair kit that Nissan put out in the TSB?

Bumpity Bump. Can anyone help me out?

Auto climate control? Isn't that only an LE/QX4 option for '96/97? Is it shift on the fly or All Mode 4x4?
-
No kidding...It's a generic issue w/ these things. 2 of my other friends had their exhausts do the same thing with their Pathy's. I'm just going to bring it in and tell them to do what they need to do.
-
My '02 3.5 has the traditional exhaust system leak, right from underneath the front seats. Not too sure if it's one or both sides of it but it's WAY obvious when the engine's cold, or I'm next to a wall with the window open I know it's been brought up before. My questions is...there IS a TSB out on this and I'm pretty sure I can buy the repair kit for it, but I'm doubting I can get it covered under warranty, even though theres the bulletin. The repair kit's no more than some real strong looking tape type stuff ( http://www.nissanhelp.com ) But I really want it to just be replaced. I DID just buy the truck a month ago, with an extended warranty ($50 ded.) but I don't think the exhaust system is covered, unless it's emissions-related. And the leak I don't think has anything to do w/ the Cat. I should just remove both of them and throw on some SS turn-downs, or side-exit's J/K. Any thoughts/suggestions? Please discuss... Cheers, Navy

Yeah it was just the passenger door switch. I still think it's funny that the horn/lights work properly now
-
YIKES! That's rough, I couldn't afford the effects of that
-
That's a beaut!!!^^^^

That's a funny story

sweet intake...me likey. I want one now!
-
Update...The issue was fixed, and the lights/horn work properly now, and of course I am happy, too
-
^^I'm interested to see if this works

My 02 seems to do the same thing, and I live right off the interstate which makes it very evident to me. Seems to go away after a few minutes, that is, shift up into OD. My wife's Hyundai does the same exact thing tho. I'm puzzled!
-
Actually yeah it is...not by Nissan (I have 49K now) but through Carmax who I bought the Pathy from...I took the comprehensive out to 98K or 2011. They're replacing everything for free. And the horn/lights do work now, because I'm driving around without a door sensor. They took the broken one out and will be putting the new one in on monday.

The dome light on my '02 SE doesn't turn on anymore. Actually that's not true. It DOES turn on, when I'M DRIVING! It will fade in'out when it wants so I just leave it off all the time. So I took it to the shop and they diagnosed it as a bad button thingy on the inside of the doorjam. This was yesterday. They ordered a new sensor thing from Nissan and it's going to take 3 days to get it so I took the truck baack last night. The light is in the off position, but now my light/horn work when I lock the doors (keyless entry)!!!!!!!! They would flash/beep when they wanted to before and now that this button thing was fiddled with they work all the time. Any suggestions? Please discuss...

I've only had my '02 for a month but put about 1500 miles on it and am consistently getting 15-16mpg. That's about 50/50 hwy/city. Not impressed with this pig's mileage but it's an SUV...whaddya expect? I sold my '02 Sentra for this so the fuel-shock is rather intense :o
