  1. Just wondering....... In my old car, a 2k2 Sentra, when the fuel light came on it almost seemed that you didn't want to go more than 10 miles or so, before the thing started hesitating (especially on uphills!) But on my 2k2 Pathy 3.5, it seems as if it comes on VERY early. So my question is...how far does everone usually go after seeing the gas light? (which I see more and more these days, as fuel cocts are soaring!) I know the fuel gauge isn't that reliable, I always use the miles to determine how much fuel I have left. Just wondering. Cheers!
  2. Yes indeed. The rears are dually amped and the fronts are individually amped (inside the front doors) I hate that RDS feature, at least, I wish I could turn it off if I wanted to.
  3. You are correct. I wish Nissan had thrown in a small subwoofer somewhere in the back. My Sentra had one in the trunk (that came w/ the system) It wasn't loud or abnoxious, it just added a little more depth to the music.
  4. An annoying 6-Disc Changer that never wants to work and "BOSE" written over the tape deck cover The total wattage output is also higher than a non-Bose system (amplified) though the numbers I forget. I read them somewhere online once before. The Deck itself is not much different from standard Nissan sock. In my old car I sold (2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec-V) it came w/ the 300-watt Rockford Fosgate system in it already. The deck itself was no different looking from a stock one. The only difference was the "Rockford-Fosgate" logo...and $900.00 for the "audio fanatic" option
  5. Excellent... Could you tell me what shipping I'd be looking at to 23503?
  6. Correct me if I'm wrong...but doesn't the strut bearing allow the strut to turn as the wheel does w/o the spring binding and trying to turn along with it?
  7. And there's nothing "car based" about the X's, Pathy's, etc. They're built on a truck chassis. What do those guys expect? Mind you, the '06 X being Motor Trend SUV of the Year IS pretty cool... way to go Nissan :cool2:
  8. Sounds more like an inconvenience than an impossibility.
  9. It does...thanks Runnerman. How many 10G's do you have left? Reason being we just got the good 'ole tax refund and I was about ready to order. I'm not a super nutty off-roader either and feel that the 3/16" is an over-kill. BUT, if that's all you got, then I guess I have no choice Thanks for the info!
  10. Let me know how your brakes go. I too have a bit of a brake shuddering thing going on. It's not a big deal, just annoying.
  11. I don't see why not?? Could be a fun project...have a few beers first That might make the holes "appear" to lign up better
  12. That's a shame. I still go there all the time to look at the member pics. Some of the best photos ever are on there I think...
  13. Thanks guys for all the info. about the website. Ironically I was JUST filling out the membership application and decided against it. $10 w/ no confirmation IS pretty shady if U ask me. Guess I'm just happy enough being a member here for now
  14. The Xterra t-case skid will fit an R50? News to me...
  15. Excellent ifo...thank you for the post, I too was wondering about this.
  16. True. Can't wait for them to come out w/ the T/C plate as well...
  17. Oddly enough I'm 26 and STILL live this way, only it's my wife now that tries to tell me otherwise :o
  18. That WAS my next question, your right. The 10-gauge really is that bad? I do go wheeling quite often, but I'm not a crawler by any means, hence I wouldn't think I need the 3/16", but I guess you never know what your gonna run into when traveling an unknown trail right?
  19. I too am dissapointed about the lack of a Pathy in their report...however none of the major mags (C&D, R&T, etc) liked the old X's...probably partly because 50 year old plus men write a lot of reviews and partly because they NEVER liked the 3.3L/170 h.p. combo. It was a little too underpowered and overweighted in their opinion, though, I always loved them. It's more than capable Off Road IMO.
  20. Yeah I do plan on getting some now. I guess it's a good investment, bent subframe vs. skidplate purchase is a no brainer. Thanks for the pics.
  21. I can't imagine it's a good thing having everything exposed, tho...
  22. So I just got bacik from the local mud pit and was looking at another thread in this section by nycxice13 about what parts usually break first when off roading and checked out the link in there to http://www.blackpantherskidplates.com (thanks Pezzy!) so I decided to go sheck out the crappy plastic splash guard on my '02 and INSTEAD found this... OMG :o It desn't exist!! Too bad I just realized this, after taking the Pathy to the beach and mud pit numerous times. My next step I suppose is to go ahead and get some real skid plates! Maybe it was fate that would bring all of that together for me today...and bring me to the realization that it would be a good idea. Anyhoo, thanks for posting that link Pezzy (even though you were directing that to someone else!) What do you recommend? I'm not interested in the painted/powder coated type. Thanks!
  23. Still hafta go with 2 white, tho refelctive sure is nice too! One for me one for my wife's Hyundai (j/k)
