  2. Also, try here. I don't think there's anything you couldn't find here (provided you're actually able to get in touch with someone!) Parts
  3. Not sure if this one would work in the '01's (I had the same unit in my '02 as you) IIRC the size of the unit itself isn't any different between the two trims. At any rate: Ebay I've seen lot's of these on ebay over time, this model and the older on as well...as well as the old OLD one the first QX4's used to have. It may be cheaper to go that route.
  4. Have a good one skid-man Maybe you'll be able to come around again in the future!!

nbasvcbytgz189 In the middle of that, my system made the soft "hard drive chirp" from the Windows 3.1 era!! FUN!
  6. a HA! That recipes thread is one of my favorites on this board. matter of fact there is one I've been meaning to add to it. Excellent I figured you wouldn't mind Slick.
  7. I sold my truck, am I still welcome?
  8. Thanks guys! Had a good one yesterday: a pitcher of my wife's Sangria, ribeye with eggs and potatoes and a fill up at the station for $3.50! I got the better end of a gas war between a BP and Exxon.
  9. still kept the stocker inside door handles.......
  10. Wow that's a nasty wreck. Really happy you're ok though. Looks like the Pathy held up pretty well. Good luck with your quest for something new. Smack your boss in the face with your mangled front bumper...that should put his a$$ in check.
  11. Thanks guys (and girls) I just sold the roof rack and lights to it, that's the last of the things I still had. I do fully intend on buying another VQ Pathy in a few years. I'm not gonna say "by then I'll have the $$ to do an SAS blah blah blah" because that's not realistic. I'll mod it a bit more than mine was, and hopefully at that point I'll have found one that's a 5-spd.
  12. As the title may have suggested, yesterday was a long day for me as I said goodbye to my Pathy. The cost of gas was just killing me, as was the extra insurance (compared to what I've lowered it to) as well as the hefty car payment it carried with it. Being a full-time student and having a wife who works for the state (which doesn't have the money to give annual raises for reasons "greater than the Governors") finally got the best of me, and I had to let it go. I sold it to Carmax, who gave me a hefty 8K for it (with 99K on the clock and all SORTS of pinstripes and dents) and ended up buying my wife a fully loaded '04 Kia Optima with leather, the 2.7L V6 and 40K on it for $8,500 out the door, along with a full service package including oil changes/tire rotation balancing and allingments/state inspections for the next 3 years or 37500 miles and GAP insurance too. It's practical for right now, and after owning our little 3 door Accent for almost 5 years now and driving the hell out of it for 100K miles, I can attest to the fact that Hyundai makes a (albeit the goofiest) decent product. Plus, the factory warranty goes to 100K...another selling point. To be completely honest, since gas began hiking to upwards to $3.00 I stopped driving it and swapped cars with the wife, using our Hyundai as my daily driver (55 miles per day) I never even drove the Pathy, and on weekends it sat. It was to the point where it wasn't enjoyable to own anymore. And we can't afford at this point in time to have something like that burning holes in our pockets (not till I graduate at least) I've now lowered our payment by $123.00/mo. ($197.00 compared to $320.00) dropped our insurance premium $95.00/annually, and hacked off $20.00/fill up with ***GASP*** 87 OCTANE! The savings are the only thing that's kieeping me sane right now, and I know it was the right thing to do as a result of it. I sure do miss the truck though. Maybe in a few years I'll pickup another, seeing as by then gas will be probably $33.00/gallon and the market for SUV's will be even more awkward. I'd still like to hang around here, as I have for the last 2.5 years, and chime in when I can. Here's a few photos of the newbie: I can't even begin to explain how much I miss the Pathy though!
  13. I always held my set button for about 2 secs. IIRC.
  14. Why are you even considering a 2006 XK? That old-tech Mopar V8 was underpowered and unrefined, not to mention the abysmal fuel economy. 230 h.p and 290 lb.-ft isn't exactly anything to write home about (which were the outputs for the pre-07's) especially when you're planning on taking yours to the moon and back. Opt for the latter one with the 4.7, 290 hp. and 320 lb.-ft.
  15. Yes, the flaps. You're right, they do take the very bottom of the flare off but not enough to make it look bad at all. The flare will end where the bumper begins. Once you do it, after a few days you'll get used to it. Looks much better IMO.
  16. If you have a ramp, flex out one side at a time to drop the other tire low enough to get a stubby screwdriver into that space. That's what I did... And yes, the control arm mounts do hang pretty low, but they're (at least mines) not painted body color, nor is the control arm...
  17. Not on later model R50's...there aren't any screws at the bottom. You need to wedge a flathead screwdriver between the HVAC vents and the dash itself to pop them out. Then disconnect the clock. There should be 2 screws visible at that point that you remove, then pop the lower bezel out and remember to unplug the defrost and hazard switches (as well as the AC jack) IIRC, it's easiest to do it with the transmission in 1 to give you more wiggle room. Wait, do you have All Mode on yours?
  18. LOL! Oldie but goodie, I was wondering about him the other day
  19. Agreed 100% A response takes 2 seconds to write. "Sorry, been busy...etc. etc." I don't buy anyone being THAT busy. And if your computers' down, find another. I refuse to believe someone doesn't have the time to shoot a single line ESPECIALLY after a payments' been made. Not too many people to trust these days, or ever for that matter, on the internet.
  20. At any rate, the FSM is on this site. Vengeful's posted the link numerous times.
