  1. Two very good things to think about. What I think im going to do is once i get back Home and take my truck in for service, i'll print out all these great ideas and known facts and make the dealer look into them. Ive owne the pathy since Oct. 06 and never had to bring it in for anything yet. So that being said, it deserves a good tune up.
  2. 2003 SE Pathfinder, I'm in Iraq and my wife drives my Pathy, she checked the oil just recently and its down alot she said. This has happend in the past as well. between oil changes were finding that there's anywhere between 1-3 cts of oil gone. Is this something that pathfinders do? I use synthetic oil. It just seems way odd to have to add 1 or more cts between oil changes with NO leaking and NO smoke and NO oil light comes on either. Anybody know whats going on here? I'll be home from Iraq in 2 months and could def. use some advise on what to do. She's due with out 1st child in 2 months so i dont want her doing anything under the hood or under the car (she can't fit any more lol) I told her to take it to get the oil changed this weekend somewhere, thats the least i can think of for right now. Any help would great!
  3. Still new to all the acroynms, what is LSD? everybody's been saying get one with it. but i dont know what it is. Oh and i talked to the wife, our pathfinder is a SE so its a Blue '03 SE. and go figure i asked for pics but we just had that winter storm come thru, so she didn't take any, since she skipped out on work becuase of the weather. I'll keep bugging her though.
  4. Thanks for all the great replies, I think im going to stick with the 03, herd some good things! I gotta get my wife to take a pic of pathy, that way i can get it on here for future posts.
  5. I have a 2003 Pathy. love it since day 1. wife liked but never liked to drive it. well now ive been in Iraq for 7 months and go figure she loves it. Ive got 4 more months till i get home and can't wait to start driving it again. so at first i was just thinking i should buy a "car" for gas milage reasons right, seeing i have my first born baby on the way, we could use it to save some money u know. well she really doesnt' want to give up the pathfinder to me and get stuck in a car. so to make ME happy and Her happy, ive decided to just go and get another pathfinder. so i want some advice from as many people as i can get. Do I go with the same year Pathy 2003? or Go with an older model so i can finally do all ive wanted to do to and with it? or 2004 model for her? and just keep the '03 for me? If I'm looking forward to lifting and going mudding with my pathy, what should I do? If i was to go with an 02 or 04 model, are the engine parts the same, that way if one conks out i can just order two? and replace as necessary and already have the part with me. what to do what to do? either way i get to buy another pahty!!
  6. my power window on my passenger side just started screwing up today. if i hit the Automatic button to make the window go up, it goes all the way and then comes back down. i'm like WTF!!! so the dealer ship says its just something that needs to be reprogrammed for like $82. is this what should be done? help!! 03 pathfinder :help:
  7. will do, i was just pricing some wheels and tires out yesterday.
  8. That was sweet, i have an 03 pathy and the windows went right down after holding the unlock down on my key fab. hopefully that still works in a week when i get automatic start added to my pathfinder.
  9. Hello, im new on here, and a little new to the off roading bit. my bro is big into it, but he drives a jeep. and i just traded in my dakota for a 03 pathfinder. i really wanna give it the agressive style and abbility for off roading while also not totaly diminishing my gas milage. if anybody could help id greatly appericiate it. the first thing im looking forward to do is put a 2" lift on it and bigger tires. what ever size can fit with a 2" lift that is. Plus anything else that i should do or know would be great as well.
