  1. Yes, my MAF sometimes fails.
  2. I know the newer QX4 headlights have built in HID lights. The older ones are a little different. You can swap to the earlier QX4 but I think you will need a new hood. It's not worth the swap to the newer QX4 and in my opinion and the newer QX4 looks like a mommy mobile. 98-99 Pathfinder 97-00 QX4 01+ QX4
  3. whoups pic didn't show up the first time
  4. You don't even want to see what is behind that door panel... CARDBOARD!!!!! AND IT'S FALLING APART!!!! SOME OF THE CLIPS AREN'T STAYING IN THE HOLES!!!!!! Have fun!
  5. That thing is crap, don't get it.
  6. The answers are: 1. Yes 2. You can drive in the fast lane if you keep OD off and go even faster if you get the small tires package 3. It's very quiet inside unless you actually want it loud 4. Inspect for transmission problems, frame rust, and rust at the top of the gas tank 5. MAF sensor wiring, fixing broken exhaust studs if they are still original, addition of a transmission cooler, and getting new LCA bushings
  7. That is interesting because the drier was the correct part listed for this truck but yet there is no hole, just nuts on both sides. Would logic dictate to remove those nuts? Actual part image: http://info.rockauto.com/getimage/getimage.php?imagekey=877798&imageurl=http%3A//info.rockauto.com/SPI/m_0233582.jpg Furthermore, I found all the O-rings necessary in a big O-ring kit, even the thick ones to replace those R12 ones in the high pressure hose. I may as well just have a working A/C system for under $200. Also, I ordered the expansion valve as I could just not get the old one off the old evaporator. *my "vocabulary" is so small*!!
  8. yes check your transmission for leaks
  9. Buy? You don't have to buy a new assembly. Just clean up the old one and you will be fine.
  10. yes thats what i was talking about, that dual pressure switch the new drier does not seem to have a hole to screw the switch to but it does have two nuts on the sides so maybe i have to remove one nut and put the switch there
  11. Yes there is a crapload of stuff inside the box, it needs cleaning badly. I have a new accumulator/drier but the problem is that I have some wire going to the old one and I don't know where it would go on the new one. Also the old one has a sight glass which I really like. As for the expansion valve, I am sure that is in good condition as I had the system vacuumed a few times when trying to find the problem.
  12. Oh crap can this get any worse? I got the green o-ring assortment from Advance Auto Parts and it had every kind except the ones I needed which are the thick ones that look like the OEM black ones. So I got those from my mechanic and put them in along with the new high pressure hose. Get the system recharged and it runs cold for a few seconds before turning extremely hot and I got a hissing sound from under the dashboard which probably means that the evaporator is screwed. Great, more parts to buy! So to get the evaporator out, do I just take the glove box out?
  13. So you have 2 pathfinders now?!
  14. you have to pull it forward thats about it
  15. no toyota crap here, this is a nissan forum
  16. So if you put the truck in forward gear, does it drive in reverse?
  17. If you want to do it the FREE way, there is a procedure in the FSM on how to get a temperature reading from the transmission computer.
  18. Well I think I solved some problems the other day... 1. The cable wasn't a tight fit so I was either going to fold the tip over on itself to double the thickness or flip that lid upside down but since the cable was a bit short for me I decided to flip the lid and now the sucker stays on tight. WARNING: If you use this type of clamp, be careful with the screws as mine almost wedged into the battery before they got tight. There was only about less than 1mm of clearance left, any more and it would just suck. Tighten the screws first before tightening the clamp. 2. The MAF ground cable, to be close to the negative terminal, was relocated and grounded along with the body ground on the negative cable.
  19. 1. Regular Pennzoil sucks 2. Your gas could be stale or have water in it because your seal is leaking 3. Check if you have a leaky injector code
