Oh adam can't believe you are trying to blame that msg on me... Well now we fixed your shifter and you got your 4 lo back so still trail bitching or what?????
Canada out skated, out shot, out hit the americans..... Miller was definately the only reason they were in it, and brodeur had a bad game... GO CANADA GO
alright good to know bc im gonna be putting in the jgc coils tomorrow and dont want to have to spend 15 bucks on a coil compressor from princess auto....
if you take off the filler tube, you can reach behind the engine and tackle it with a ratcheting box end wrench 14mm
worked well for threading the bolts aswell
well there is a guy in ottawa that can have the altenator respooled for $100 to w/e you want...... and i think the second altenator mod would be great. there is a guy on car domains that has this mod aswell and a guy in ottawa thats close to you that could give you a hand... but i guess you are gonna need to get a wiring harness from a parts truck to start.. and add a switch between the 2??????? one for daily drivin and a switch to use both for when your on the trail
i dont have the same year as you mine is a 94... but i have the same problem in the morning my truck wont use overdrive until the trucks warms up, so i use alot of gas and im right beside the hwy.... i just drive slower untils its able to shift into overdrive. which isnt to long
if your not experienced on icy roads the best thing for you to do is what you did after going into the ditch and slow down. 4wd will help you take off faster but wont save your bacon when stopping.
oh and its never a good idea to go 90 on ice lol. good to hear you made it out fine.
when driving the slush in the middle of the road i usually will keep my foot on the gas but not accelerating, and slowly creep over holding the steering wheel tight. never pull on the steering wheel when driving through slush.
if it looks like it is leaking from the bell housing on the transmission where meets engine probably the rear main seal is leaking..... To fix rear main seal you have to take the transmission off the seal isn't hard it self its the removal of the transmission... but it could still becoming from oil filter or the sensor above the starter...
maybe your going further than 4 hi and actually putting it into 4 lo? thus getting the infamous grinding noise while shifting into 4lo while not in neutral.
thanks guys for all your help trans has been finished for a while and everything seems to be going well except for those darn rebuilt starters hate them.
