  1. well for one, coil overs are EXTREMELY tooooooo pricey IMO, and not even a good fix for our suspension. secondly im sure you are not going to have to drop the transfer case....
  2. hah no no no im not planning anything, but if i were trying to design a nice long travel IFS i would shorten the diff and lenthen the axle shafts to allow for lift with some down travel as well. no im not trying to do this, nor have i actually looked into the logistics of it. so dont flame me for it. all i was stating is thats the direction i would be going......
  3. lengthen the control arms??? i say chop the font axle make it shorter (not as wide) then make the longer control arms :)
  4. i would love to track the progress of this, not really interested in the long travel kits, but the cages and tube doors might be cool....
  5. i have a perfectly good auto tranny sitting around. for practically nothing plus shipping she is yours. clearly less than a 2400 rebuild....just letting you know. if you want it its yours
  6. whats messing u up with the powervalve screws? and nice. i just put a lift on my buddies 98 QX.....damn those are nice vehicles i couldnt believe he wanted to lift it. hes got some 31 MTs on it now looks BAMF
  7. oh come on chris you cant be patient, its been FOREVER since you have had a pathfinder, whats another week eh? got any first mods planned out yet?
  8. wow. why are you running a 15x10 wheel slick? seems pretty pointless to me, just puts more wear on your steering components when u could just be running 15x8s with slightly more backspacing to tuck them in a bit more....
  9. it is ok. your speed sensor is in the 95s transfer case. so you will have a speedo. nothing to worry about the 92 is an exact fit
  10. i think 800 is a little steep for a wrecked "gas guzzler" with nearly 200k on it. and i know that the VGs last for nearly forever, but still overall look at the market, seems a bit high
  11. woah woah woah.....using the daughter for leverage......uh oh......
  12. very nice. great build, at the moment i am still sourcing parts for my radius arm setup (with a 79 HP D44 out of an F150) so just seeing this gives me hope that eventually i will get it done :) love the rig cant wait to see the full flex shots
  13. yea but that carnage always seems to hide from view.....which sucks to find a huge ass hole in your block later during the tear-down....
  14. you dont need it. but if you feel more comfortable replace it. and since you dont have a nice picture for us i dont know what bracket you are talking about and/or how badly it ripped off.
  15. woah dan being a d1ck.......thats unexpected...... :tonguefinger:
  16. clearly this guy does not listen. i already gave him the link to the how to over on VAXC.........he has asked the same question a billion times already over there and i answered him........oh well
  17. no. you will not wear your tires like crazy unless you drive like a crazy person. all that will happen is that you will "chirp" your tires thru turns. keep the tires rotated and im sure you wont even notice the wear.

no simon there was no rhyme or reason what pathfinder got the 4.6 or the 4.3 gearing. some autos had 4.6 and some manuals had the 4.3 and vice versa. so gearing is not a problem either with the tires. so just get some 31 1050s and be done with it plz

31 1050 tires came stock on some pathfinders. you will not have trouble with them (i would however pick up a set of legos just to make sure you will be fine.)
  21. ok. basically it is not a hard job. overall if you can turn a wrench and read a manual you can do the swap. the only problem is, i have only ever been shown in person when i was younger how to install a new clutch, and have never actually seen any literature on it (like a how 2 with pics) so if you have never done that, i wouldnt be able to explain it real well. otherwise you can rent the specialty tools at advance like a pilot bushing puller (thats the only one that comes to mind) and then otherwise its all just plain wrenches.....
  22. first off. where are you located. secondly do you have a couple grand to spend on this tranny rebuild and replacement? i wouldnt use the 170k tranny tho either. depending on where you are i still have a good tranny that ill sell you. its only got 80k on it and absolutely nothing wrong with it.....
