Well put Vsicks. I personally believe in a stricter gun control idea. It pains me to hear people spout off this BS saying that if more people were allowed to carry we would have less crazies shooting up schools. ARE YOU KIDDING? So if more people have access to guns you are trying to tell me that the crime rate would go down? That does not make any sense to me at all. It would just allow more people (who might not be mentally stable to actually own a gun themselves..) who did not previously have access to guns get one, and then do something horrible. No matter what the answer is not more guns, it should be less guns. I respect the people who get their concealed weapons permit and carry permits because they are the responsible ones (usually) and have no problem with them, dont get me wrong. I just dont understand how people can say that if there were more guns the VT shooting would have been stopped earlier, whos to say the victims (if they had been "packing") where crack shots? whos to say they would have missed, and then hit an innocent person? It just doesn't make sense to me at all.

no. you will not wear your tires like crazy unless you drive like a crazy person. all that will happen is that you will "chirp" your tires thru turns. keep the tires rotated and im sure you wont even notice the wear.

no simon there was no rhyme or reason what pathfinder got the 4.6 or the 4.3 gearing. some autos had 4.6 and some manuals had the 4.3 and vice versa. so gearing is not a problem either with the tires. so just get some 31 1050s and be done with it plz

31 1050 tires came stock on some pathfinders. you will not have trouble with them (i would however pick up a set of legos just to make sure you will be fine.)

ok. basically it is not a hard job. overall if you can turn a wrench and read a manual you can do the swap. the only problem is, i have only ever been shown in person when i was younger how to install a new clutch, and have never actually seen any literature on it (like a how 2 with pics) so if you have never done that, i wouldnt be able to explain it real well. otherwise you can rent the specialty tools at advance like a pilot bushing puller (thats the only one that comes to mind) and then otherwise its all just plain wrenches.....

first off. where are you located. secondly do you have a couple grand to spend on this tranny rebuild and replacement? i wouldnt use the 170k tranny tho either. depending on where you are i still have a good tranny that ill sell you. its only got 80k on it and absolutely nothing wrong with it.....

thats such a great idea for a contest. wish it woulda survived better. oh well. someone should restore it (if at all possible ) and they should have it on display. what a great story. i love stuff like that

u can use the 3.0 crank in the 3.3 block? if so i didnt know this, i thought the only option was to machine the 3.3 crank to fit the pully. that is much easier cool.

i do have an auto tranny up for sale. because i completed the swap on my own 95. i now have a 5 speed. eh, have you ever changed a clutch before? if so, then you can do this swap. if not, i would not take it on having never really worked on a car in that area.

Dan (vengeful) had some, and IIRC he loved them. got great mileage out of them and liked them offroad. correct me if im wrong......

ok. Mickey, you have a 95 right? if so that means you have the Electronic VSS located in your transfer case. that means that you can use any transmission from 87-95 (of course the ones with the VG) and it will bolt in, no need to deal with speedo cables, or anything as long as you keep your current transfer case. i did my swap in my driveway with normal hand tools a few jacks (i would highly recommend a tranny jack and a good service manual) and multipul trips to advance so goodluck!!!

hah i bought mine off of a guy on ebay, and well, mine is still chipped and rusted in a few places, but i know the guy, and from seeing his pathfinder, he wheeled the piss out of it, i mean u can see rock rash and what not, so i mean overall it holds up well, but i need to repaint it. i have yet to scratch it, and have actually had the whole weight of my truck on it....but i also need to repaint it
