  1. hmmm. i think these will actually work. i have a set of coil spacers off of a jeep with the rubi express springs (also have the springs) i havent even looked at them, they are in a trash bag at the moment, but i will get some pics of what they look like tomorrow for ya if your interested.
  2. he took the custom lift off a while ago. said it was because his 33s were already wore out and it looked dumb with 32s... he destroyed the lift while taking it off, because of some welding to the strut mounts he did...
  3. ^^^ agreed. glad to see someone else felt the same way. I started to make a front winch bumper for mine, and decided EFF it and luckily found an ARB on ebay local for cheap (yay) but my chunk of steel i called a front bumper will now be hacked up again for use on a simple rear bumper who cares what that looks like right??? I mean its in the rear, who sees it but dust eaters behind you on the trail???
  4. yes 33s will fit fairly easily with just the 3 inch suspension ( i did it on lego wheels for a little while because i couldnt pass up the deal on tires....)
  5. Yea, i kind of knew this, but was surprised that 88 did either not know it, or was to be surprised that it was not an actual Nissan part. Thanks again guys i am now alarm-less (thank god)
  6. either that or REMOVE the auto hubs or remove them to buy some JY auto hubs if you cannot afford the $100 pricetag on the manual locking hubs.
  7. what looks like a PA system is under my hood, ill snap some pics tomorrow. If it just uses the horn, where to the "chirps" come from then? (EDIT: "where DO the "chirps" come from them?)
  8. what he was referring to was his old 98 pathy that he slapped the cams in it along with minor ECU work. This NEW PATHFINDER WITH THE VQ ENGINE IN IT is basically stock with a cold air intake, and a few other intake cooling mods....otherwise STOCK. Geez read his posts for once and ease up on comments like easy on the caffine, and good for you you've been tuning cars for 15 years, honestly maybe you have maybe you havent (its the internet, not the first time someone has lied), but guaranteed you have not done everything known to man or under the sun to cars in general (im not saying i have either) but my favorite quote is "arguing on the internet is like running in the special olympics, no matter who wins you are still retarded" so seriously take it for what it is, if you are skeptic go test it yourself with your 15 years of tuning knowledge.... Rant off.
  9. Yes, i drove it. and with a lift 32s and some junk in his trunk It did feel much quicker on acceleration, really pushed u back, and i have test driven a few stock VQ pathies and floored them but they didnt respond as well as chris's did. Not saying the Toluene did or did not do anything, but im thinking it was a combination of what he has done to his engine, be it the SWEET plexi heatshield or simple cleaning out of the intake. I will attest to my ass-dyno that it did feel quicker on the uptake even with the lift and 32s.
  10. Gracias. Then i can remove the speaker under the hood as well?
  11. I go to start the pfinder up tonight to move it (around 2am) because it is blocking the mail box which is not a good situation if you need to receive mail in the morning.... I go to unlock my doors with my key all is well, go to start it it starts, then i see the tell tale signs the $#&%in thing is gonna start going off....It does, at 2AM.....i want the damned thing completely disabled and out of the car. How. Parts break down, wiring diagrams give it to me. Its a stupid POS system that doesn't work half the time and isn't needed on a now 12yr old vehicle. Thank you (EDIT: i mean does clipping the wires and disabling the remote "module" completely disable the system?)
  12. well, im not totally certain, but i think the stock backspacing on my lego wheels were like 5 inches or so, so techincally you should be ok. If its a screaming deal worst comes to worst you can get quarter inch spacers with longer wheel studs.

i believe the only problems he has had has been the harness and getting everything to match up. otherwise i think he hasnt had many problems....
  14. It is not always true that an MT will wear out faster than an AT. MTRs have a tread life of 40-50k when rotated and kept balanced properly.... pretty much the same as an AT..... EDIT: oh and i think Vengeful got around 50k out of his Dunlop Radial Mud Rovers as well.....
  15. dude, give him a break, if hes genuinely having trouble with it, thats what this forum is for, dont flame someone just for having what seems to us simple problems, who cares.
  16. sounds like you are only pulling into 4hi. In order to shift into 4LOW, you need to push down (as in vertically down, pushing the top of the shifter towards the floor) and then pull back into 4 low. there will be a bit of grinding if you leave the transfer case in N then shift into 4 low. Oh and make sure you are in Neutral (transmission neutral) before you shift into 4 low.
  17. I would go for it. It wont kill your CVs, i saw the post over on AC a while ago, and since it is only a 2 inch lift you should be fine. The spacer (since its 2 inches) cannot over extend your CVs any farther than an AC 2 inch suspension lift. But the combination of the spacer and 2 inch coil lift more than likely would explode ur CVs....
  18. yea, who said anything about traveling comfortably? hah both of my choices say SCREW COMFORT all over them i love sami's because of the size. my buddy has one, and i love seeing it in action
  19. :) ok, i was just curious, because i didnt want it to be a problem, (because i know after 17 + hours it is hard to think ) overall looks real beefy nice job
