  1. its my daily...so all i did was replace the worn (horrible) pads back on...in which case is not a good fix, but will work for the time being, because all the slide pins do is relocated the caliper for even, break pad wear, so since the pads are freakin horrible, i think i should be ok till then. so not taking the torch to my DD's caliper frame i thought or think is a good idea at the time.....but i agree it would prob. work...thanks sam
  2. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=18 that is the thread in the how to section...all about the JGC install and what coils you need...
  3. i was about to whip out the torch, but i didnt know if eventually i might warp the caliper frame....which i thought better of not doing.....so i dont kno if a torch would be the best idea yet...unless i can get another set..
  4. hah, i like seeing my tire back there, and with the 31 on it, makes it look more like an off road rig...heh i dunno...who cares if i have drag...it already gets horrible gas mileage.....
  5. hah, rug rats... i was wondering, just beacause i like the space and the look of the spare tire carrier....to each his (or her) own i suppose....
  6. slick...why did you take your carrier off??? do you like having less cargo area inside???? just wondering
  7. yes, i do have PB Blaster.... and yea i was just making sure there was no retaining clip i did not know about, because they are frozen solid on/in the frame.... oh well i guess i just have to make a trip to the u pull it yard... thanks guys...
  8. i got 3 inches when i installed mine...(got new JGC springs from autozone...) and i also have the tire carrier....so i guess it just all depends...
  9. i went to change my pads that were in extreme need of it. Easy Job right? hell its like 2 bolts a C Clamp and your good to go..... found out that 3 out of my 4 slide pins in the caliper are seized. just wondering if anyone knows of a good way to coax them out?? is there some type of lock that is holding them in there, like a little clip, or if turned a certain way they just pop out??? any help would be appreciated...going to look that the junk yard tomorrow to see if they have some other misc. stuff i need, so i might just go pull those calipers to see if the slide pins on them are ok...cuz if so, i might save me some time....... who knows... -Sam
  10. ok that makes me feel better then
  11. very nice work. that looks really really nice back there...wish i did not suck at anything to do with wood working...give me some metal, it may not look good but it will be functional....eh wood.....
  12. so since you all are the mods, do you have everyones email? if not i would think that would be a very good piece of information because if the site goes down you could just send out a mass email of where the new site is, to keep us all updated.... and yes, if you dont want to take the time to compile all of that info if we just started a thread for everyone to put theirs in, i would be more than happy to do it for you.....
  13. why are the misters so important to you? i see that they clean off your headlights, but if mine get to dirty when im playing in the mud at night, i just get out, and wipe them off.... i would however like to see some of the trail shots of your Terrano over there, i dont kno the scenery must be pretty cool....
  14. no headlight misters..... no clinometer.... yes adjustable shocks (some did come with that option).... no high/low beam fogs...... so sorry about the things we dont have...but i love my pathy just the same.... (oh and im sure you know that we dont have diesels...)
  15. ill give it to ya, that does sound pretty sweet. since i have the auto-tragic pathy, the cruise option is what i would have to have.....sniff sniff, oh how i wish i woulda held off for a manual tranny.....

  20. good call slick, yea, i think we could all use a little bit of it....
  21. my headlights would go out every time i hit a bump, everytime i went on a dirt road and especially when i off rooaded.....it ended up being the wires comming off the battery (power) that had been crimped, and partially exposed.... fixed that....and it works fine now
  22. i am working on a plan so that i can remove the whole hatch. i think it would look very interesting, be great in the summer, but might not be practical. on the oneside, its great that it would be a huge open space....on the downside it would be a gaping hole for someone to come in an steal my stuff..... well have to see what happens......
  23. no windshield washing capabilities? how do you see when you get into a big mudhole....throwing mud and water up into your face????
  24. just replaced the ball joints with the install... ok....result...worn inner and outer tie rods.... then go back for alignment...
