  1. it was sitting on the bump stops...i couldnt go any further...
  2. i really dont think i am...install was easy...step by step...easy...had my uncle (mechanic) check it...he said..hmmm..just get it aligned...shop said it might be impossible...which would suck...im hoping it can be aligned...
  3. yea im with these guys...i only get about 250 if im lucky...(and i have lifted mine, but still just have 31 inch AT's) i am wondering if i have a smaller tank than you all...i know there were two sizes available the 21 gallon, or the 18 gallon...but i dont think i have ever put even 17 gallons in mine before, and i have been totally on E.......what to do what to do...i guess a tune up is in order....
  4. ok, installed the Rough Country UCA's everything went well....new poly bushings, new ball joints. installed the JGC springs along with sway away Tbars, so all in all i got the 3 inch lift. YAY. ok realize i have to get it aligned, thats all ok. Thinking about it last night, i didnt have any alignment shims and my tires were sitting \ -- / (oh shiznit). realizing last night (before i took it in this morning) that it might not be possible to get it aligned. This was confirmed by my trusted shop mechanic (known him for years) but he said he might be able to work with it..... So my question is, has anyone else run across this problem? If it cannot be aligned...i have a feeling i am gonna get pissed only because i dished out nearly 200 for those dang UCA's......... please someone tell me they have a solution for me...please.....
  5. are you sure? no leads are contacting anything on the metal frame? positive? i had to do some trimming when i installed my rears...
  6. he posted and then replied to his own post. is he trying to get people even more pissed at him? (.......i thought he was leaving.........)
  7. about maxed out? no i am maxed out
  8. yea i did assume they were there for a reason. all i really need is another quarter to a half of an inch to level it, so i was just really wondering if that would/could hurt them that much. (as i am not a master on the art of CV's, i just thought it better to ask the guru's.... ) but if you think they will bind, i suppose i will not do it. Thanks again -Sam
  9. ok i just got the Rough Country UCA's, and wondered if they could be swapped, driver for passenger, to get more clearance on the bumpstop. just wondering if someone has attempted this....i would like just a little more room to balance out the front of my rig..... thanks guys
  10. nice, i have always liked the hidden look, whether it was behind the grille, or how you did it, i like the mesh across the bumper, good call
  11. are you kidding? how can you say you do not need lift in the front? why not try and get as much suspension lift as possible? i mean i am keeping my 31's untill i am in need of new tires, then i may get 32's, but i bought UCA's, torsion bars, springs, and shocks, because i would like to get as much LEVEL lift as possible!!! i agree a body lift might be in order now because he has the frame and body separated, but i think eventually he is going to want suspension, i mean that is what he asked about in the first place. your UCA's will be fine with stock wheels and tires, may look a little funny with just 29's but i think many people on here are running that combination....just my 2 cents...
  12. guide wire..... i have one... any aftermarket head unit will output more power per speaker than the stock amps. the only panels you will really have to pull are the back ones, (i dont kno the year of your vehicle its not in your profile) but if you have the (not sure of the year) pathy with the rear speaker "boxes" instead of the overhead speakers, then you would have to pull even less panels. it is very straighforward to run your wire, just start pulling panels, i ran mine through some split loom, on the drivers side, along wtih my RCA cables for the amp, and then 4 guage wire on the passenger side for the amp power wire....trust me you can do it, there is space available
  13. talk his ass down. that still seems like a lot of money for a car approaching 200k. i mean i know our vehicles are reliable, but i have a 95 near me with only 105k and they are asking 3500 for it....and the exterior is perfect. so i dont kno i think i would try and find another pathy.....
  14. they dont match. i ran into that problem too. if you are planning on putting in after market speakers, head unit, then it will be worth it to you to run new wire. its what i did, only took me a few hours. its really easy to hide the wires in our trucks...
  15. ok, i dont kno if you know or not, osama was not the first person to just randomly hate america. Their religion basically has no tolerance for any other (first reason to hate a (majority)christian country). Another reason is, has anyone read some of the school books over there? basically most of their (history) books bash america, among other European countries. but, my big problem is that you wont even have an open enough mind to even watch the opposing side of things. Personally there are many, many things our gov't has done without our knowing. You do kno that Dubbya (George Bush, i cant seem to get the W to come out right...) is just pretty much a figure head, otherwise how could a "bumbling idiot" run our country? there are other people in government than just him and his **** (Cheney)..... i just have never understood why people cannot even open their minds enough to just look. now i am not sure how i feel, but i dont kno if it was purely our govt, or just terrorist insurgents, who knows? THE GOVERNMENT they would know the truth, its just why havent they laid these claims to rest?? why did they only release certain amounts of footage of the plane hitting the pentagon? who knows? THE GOVERNMENT thats all i have to say, that is my two cents...(clearly all i want is just for the govt to tell the truth for once....)
  16. ok. sorry if i dont join you over there. i mean your build is interesting, but i pretty much just hang out here....
  17. again, i agree with eveyone about the search function not being the greatest, but Jay, we all want to help you, but i think we answered all of your questions before anyone even said anything about you not searching. Please now, ask any question you have and we will answer, but remember you need to be aware of what you are asking, because we are not building your truck, it is not our truck to tell you what you want. we all have preferences, differences and what not, so we do not mean to run you from the forums, because we welcome everyone and want you here. otherwise have fun with everything, and i cannot wait till this summer when you start adding off-road mods....enjoy buddy
  18. FUELER i have seen you use that a few other times, and yet every time i see it, i pretty much die laughing... :-D
  19. ok wait. so your saying that using a locker up front, i can possibly bust a UCA??? i have never heard that, i have heard of tie rods, CV's, and such, but never breaking a control arm. Wow, please tell me otherwise....(or advise me in why )
  20. Ok i have looked around, lookin for a 2 inch or three inch body lift (for my 95) and just wondering if anyone knows of any place that sells them cheaper than about 100-115. ( i kno i am a cheap ass) but if i could save a few bucks, then hell why shouldnt i??? Thanks again guys (and gals) -Sam
  21. we have already told him about search, A MILLION TIMES, and i just dont think he understands either how to use it, or just doesnt want to use it. Frankly i didnt mind him asking questions, it was just that these were adressed in fairly recent posts. Oh well, i guess i wont miss him....sorry about all the supposed "crap" you took from "all" of us... Moral of this whole mess.............SEARCH!!!!
  22. i completely agree with everything stated above. i do have one question tho, what kind of sponsorship are you talking about? Independent sponsors? People like us to give you money?????
  23. we arent trying to put you down, at all, we just cant justify doing this in our minds. all we ever want to do is to try and make sure you know of the other options. There were better pathfinders out there to begin with, that would have saved you money. Although i am a HUGE supporter of the do it yourself = its your own truck, yours no one elses. I think it is quite cool that you have people that can do the body work for you, thats great, honestly i am glad you are having fun with it, (and we never said you were rich, you told us how much you saved up for it). So honestly, we dont mean to seem like we are putting you down, its your rig, and have fun, honestly we are here to help, its just when you ask a lot of questions that have already been asked, it gets very very repetative, and all you would have to do is search!!! heh but anyways goodluck, and have fun bud!!
  24. yeps...good luck, and hope everything goes as planned...
  25. good call DSM, i think we covered exactly what you just said earlier, but clearly this guy does not get it, not trying to be mean at all, but i hope u spelled it out for him this time!!!! to reiterate Pathfinder-Jay we are not mad at you, just a little frustrated, because these questions you ask, have all be covered, and its usually the same with any new person, i kno at one point i did the same thing, ask questions, and found out it was much easier to use the search function than to even wait for someone to post.....dont worry you will have a "PERFECT" truck when you are done.....
