sammyb33 replied to Casey.T's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
yea looked into swapping the bulbs will take some fab work...not a plug and play like i hoped it would be since they used the same connectors.... and do you have to have front parking lights??? not sure... -sam -
hey if you are looking for people to test it (thinks of prado and all the guys gettin their lifts cheap as dirt) then i would be more than happy to be a tester!!! -sam and being totally serious....PM me

thanks feuler......i just need to make sure all i would need is the sensor up front, and the actual unit. if that is the case, it would be very easy to get it hooked up in my WD.....thanks -sam

Corner Marker Lights to Turn Signals...

yea i hated the rapid blinking, but there has to be a way to change that....rapid blinking occurs because its telling you that either one of your bulbs are out, or something is wrong....so im thinking that the wattages of the bulbs are different in the corner lights and the original signals. so what if i swap those?? if i do, im thinkin they will stop the rapid blinking.... if that dosent work, then it has to mean that some type of parking light has to be hooked back up....which will take more thinking.... -sam -
^^^^^^ i agree with all the FLA has to say about it....

yea i just bought a 91 honda accord to compliment the pathfinder (gas mileage) and the clutch just went on in it....i mean its not like i didnt see it comming....it had 250 on the ODO, but still runs like a champ...and it has already paid for itsself in gas, i bought it in august, and by now the amount i would have spent on gas in the pathfinder the car paid for itself....maybe u should get the car and then be able to work on the pathfinder.... and yes, when i still lived at my house my rents always told me they didnt want me working on my car myself....so when they werent home, i always worked on it, and by the time they got home it was usually fixed, dad would drive it a bit, and be like, "oh good job..." so there are always some solutions, but if you really wanna keep the pathy, as they say, if there is a will, there is a way...... -sam

ok, so its been a while, and now im actually looking into doing this on my WD.... so it looks like i have to get the ambient temp sensor from a junked pathy, and run my own wires to the rad support. otherwise then to get its bearings it hooks into the speedo??? just some clarification is all im lookin for....eh well then im also lookin for the actual unit.....(hah, ill find one somehow...) -sam EDIT: ok, so it only hooks into the speedo to know that the vehicle is in motion.... how would i go about hooking it into a WD? same wire?

sammyb33 replied to Avus Blur's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
BTW IMO if i were buying rims again i would get the AR-1085s....i think they look good, a nice street rim anyway...(i went with black steel cuz yea they are already scratched up...) -
yes it can be as long as you dont have emission testing. but a high flow cat isnt that expensive, and it also saves the envirnonment..... -sam

ah, i didnt think about downed trees.....yea usually i just drive over them....or i find a way around them....but that makes sense, sorry its still too early in the morning for me :-D
-
why do you all seem to need axes??? if you are jacking up a tire, and stuffing brush and branches underneath do you really need to cut down a tree??? and if branches and whatnot do not seem to work, just use your spare under one of the tires usually gives me enough traction to pull myself out of really sticky situations.... but if there is another reason that you carry your axe, please elaborate... -sam

yea i set the torch on my UCA bushings once i got them outa the UCA they were stuck fast.....burnt the rubber off, torched the crap outa it, put some vice grips on the sleeve and twisted away..... goodluck!!! -sam
-
rear coils, eh took me all of maybe a half hour.... depends on if your buddy has a press to press out and in the new bushings, if he does, i didnt have a press and it took me just an afternoon to put on my UCAs and Tbars, and coils.... otherwise the rest depends on how good and fast you are at doing the timing belt and water pump....

do not knock a zuki untill you have wheeled with them.... if i didnt have my pathy i would be lookin for a zuki.....they are by far the best trail rigs i have ever ridden in. they arent the most comfortable rigs, but they are tiny enough to pretty much get thru any trail, even ATV trails, and properly geared, these things are amazinly unstoppable....

actually u could get a winch bumper and winch....for a crapload of money...but my dealership said they could get it for me if i wanted it that badly... -sam

are the crossmembers different from an auto to a manual?? -sam
-
i have a topic i started in the parts wanted (area), and would like more people to be able to take a shot at my question. I am currently in the process of swapping my transmissions, i have a 95 auto, and am starting the process of swapping it to a manual. I would like to know if i could still use my auto ECU or if i had to swap that too? and does anyone know if the manual transmission pathfinders had different crossmembers than the auto ones did?? thanks in advance, -Sam
-
why not just save up for a nice winch bumper? or some other aftermarket bumper? just my opinion... -sam
-
if you just want some rubber UCA bushings i have a set i didnt use because i bought poly bushings.... i would let go for a couple of bucks....(well shipping i suppose...) -sam EDIT : (i kno you wanted poly, but this might be a cheap solution....who knows all i kno is i have a set, and i can unload them...)
