  1. or, another solution....buy a cheap honda or toyota... my situation was, paying rent, pathy payment, (paid 6k for it, paid off at the end of next july) and then with (at that time) rising gas prices. so i went into the market for a cheap honda that maybe wasnt the nice "reliable" not-gonna-break-down-on-me-but could provide cheap transportation. just so happens i found a repo-ed 91 accord for 500 bucks, pretty beat up cosmetically, rusted hood, numeroud dents and rust. interior was immaculate (after some extensive cleaning by me, but otherwise really is nice). on the clock it had 240,000 on it, looks like the tbelt was changed not to long ago...only thing wrong with it was it was leaking oil..that turned out to be a nice sized hole in the oil pan where the previous owner looks like he or she liked to take this thing offroad....fixed that, clutch went out, fixed that....so i only have 800 in the vehicle itself. i named that my primary vehicle and stated the finder would not be a daily. insurance went down 500 bucks right off the bat...the damned thing paid for itself.... so sorry for the long story, but i hope i got my point across, that maybe you should just get a beater car, to drive around, get 28 mpg, and dont really care about it, while u have that cheap transportation, fix up the pathfinder.... -sam
  2. question.....what kind of pathfinder decal do you have on the sides of your rig??? can you take a close up of it?? and did you get it custom made??? and yes, i would love to see some box plans.... -sam
  3. good choice....ive always like wheeling more than i have liked going fast (not saying that it isnt fun, its just that i would race around on the street more, and the PO PO dont like it...)

  12. wait..... did you disconnect the brake lines during the job??
  13. ok thinking about it again, shouldnt when you are torquing the member bolts down, have the truck off the ground, because then you are truely torquing them with no (hopefully) real pressure twisting on them??? maybe not, cuz they still support the truck but just trying to think of the best way... -sam
  14. well actually all i want to be able to toy around with is the actual compass temp unit. im not actually going to be mounting it on my ceiling....well at this point i wasnt planning on it. what i was going to do was use the extra pocket below my cd player, make a face plate that included some switches, the temp/compass...that sorta thing. we will see once i get the whole console in my hands, i might try to get my friend (fiberglass guru) to make something fit too the roof.... so basically i just need the thing to look at and decide.....and 98silverpathy PMed me and he has the sensor and harness he is selling me for 10 bucks, so i think ill be ok on the price of the overall project (that might not work out anyway...) thanks and any other input would be welcome.... -sam ----hey 88, so your saying the blazer console fits up on the roof?? or what were you planning on doing with yours???
  15. i messaged the guy, and he said all that it does not have is the sensors it has the acutal unit, just not the sensors that go up on the rad. support.... (should have included that i suppose)

    Body Lift

they also have the TM lift now for the 90 and up models.....(considering there is basically no difference, i believe the difference was just in the rod ends on your steering....and they charge a whole hell of a lot more for the 90-95....) -sam
  17. LINK TO ITEM i am looking for the digital compass, and temp readout unit (whatever u wanna call it) because i am going to wire it up to be used in my WD.....local JYs want a little more for the unit, because they know they can rape me on it.... so found this on ebay, thought that it looks like a good idea, but if anyone knows how or where i could get just the unit cheaper closer or newer, that would be great. -sam
  18. eh i still like the carrier....it looks much better tho when u get that wimpy ass spare off it and put a matching spare up there... -sam

  22. sorry man....im thinking that if it doesnt fit, it doesnt fit....its looking like you are gonna have to send it back....or just to be sure, fit it on your truck to make sure it definately dose not fit....but other than that man, sorry -sam
