  1. Don't know if you've done the work yet or not but I would steel well clear of Woody's 4X4 in Vancouver. I've heard nothing but bad about them. Don't know if they do exhaust, but just thought you should know.
  2. I did. Charging system checked out fine 14V.
  3. Jerrari indeed. Look at the license plate.
  4. My strange problem of the battery light and brake light flickering on/off together has been traced to the check relay under the hood. What does this relay do? Where can I get a new one?

    Game On!

A Google earth image of the neighborhood would be great with important places marked. Try setting up a "neighborhood watch" with your good neighbors. Issue each "patrol" member a Costco 18,000,000 (that's MILLION) candlepower spotlight (like $30 I think, each buys their own) Make lots of passes by the house in question preferably late at night when "crime is rampant" and suspicious activities have been observed in and around the nasty neighbor's bedroom window. Or you could disconnect the muffler on the pathy and rev it up at 2am on the street in front of their house.

So, has she replaced the bumper yet?
  7. Tell ya what. You send me that diesel and I'll hook you up with a good old petrol-powered VG and you'll have no problems
  8. I'm blown away. . . They give these away free, right?
  9. D'oh! Well maybe we'll pass on 90! Hey, there's an ORV park in Moses Lake!! Hmm, good point. I guess you'll just have to come over when the rainy season sets in. We'll go mudding in the land of :coffee!:
  10. Yeah, gonna be packing it up and leaving Cheney/Spokane and heading to the west side in October. The fiance's career has a good jumping-off place so it's the best shot for us. Anywho, I'm not gonna be able to wheel with my old chrony Thomas so I'll need some King County folks to meet up with this fall/winter (thank God for Puget Sound weather ) and get the rigs muddy. See ya soon
  11. Good point. Why should anyone be allowed to own a gun. Life in America is EXACTLY how it is portrayed on TV and in the movies. I suppose those folks in Virginia had no right to defend themselves. When the police did eventually respond, only 30+ people lay dead. That's not so bad, eh? What's 30 people in a school the size of VT? We should follow the British/Australian model. They have perfect police protection at all hours of the day and night and when somebody breaks into a home, the cops are there waiting for them, right? They live in a perfectly safe society free from the evils of civilian firearm ownership and all of the criminals refuse to illegally acquire guns for future use against an unarmed population. They're such nice guys. Then there are the 4,000,000 times each year that privately-owned guns are used to stop crimes in America. I guess those are the occasions when us rough and rowdy cowboys aren't out robbing banks and shooting children. After all, that is the favorite past time of us gun nuts. Well, I guess all of us law-abiding gun owners should face the facts and turn them all in to the government. They are here to protect us. What better threat to our safety than our own guns? C'mon guys! Let's be like the British and the Canadians and the Australians! Let's turn our means of self-defense over to the proper local authorities. They've never been known to abuse power or illegally perform searches or arrests on non-offending citizens. (see New Orleans, LA following Katrina) Oh well. Some people like to live in a protective bubble of naivety. What can ya do? Bang Bang Bang
  12. Holy cats! - an exclamation with emphasis on the holy. Sum b*****s! - self-explanatory When asked for advice I usually reply with the old "Don't take any wooden nickels." Several others that have no place on a family-friendly board such as this.
  13. ...to all the Dads out there. You have one of the toughest jobs in the world. Thank you!
  14. Me? Canadian? Nope, wrong Vancouver. I'm from Washington. Canada wouldn't like me very much. Yes. I did forget those. If a driver's license is valid nationwide, why aren't CCWs? Makes no sense whatsoever. But hey, nobody was ever killed by a car or anything. Say, does the state issue freedom of religion permits or is that one of those constitutional deals?......I can never remember. BTW LEOs can carry in all 50 states so long as they're qualified with their dept. and can provide the proper ID to local authorities. You can get non-resident permits from states like Utah and Florida that are honored in 35-38 states I believe. You'll just have to map you trips out beforehand on www.handgunlaw.us That is, until we repeal all of these pointless gun laws.
  15. Sorry, late comer to this one but it it important. "Gun Free Zones" = Killing Fields. It is that simple. The sooner we abolish these imaginary safe areas the sooner we will see the end of these kinds of terrible acts. Someone who has purchased a firearm through legal channels, has passed an FBI background check and who has then been photographed, fingerprinted, trained and licensed by the state to carry should not be barred from carrying their CCW on school grounds, in bars, in churches and anywhere else they go. Disarmed Defenseless Dead In my opinion there should be no license required to carry concealed, but that's another story. . . my $.02
  16. Yeah, she's graduating too. Well, technically, she's not officially done until fall quarter, but she's "walking" on Saturday. I'll get her crackin' on those cookies.
  17. Holy Crap,I missed it. I was unaware!!!!!!! Happy belated B-Day buddy. I need to spend more time on this board. I owe you a drink.......or five. Remember?
  18. Also, when you get it done ask if the shop will fab. up a baffle connected to a cable in the cab to divert the exhaust gases through a train whistle. Let me tell ya, it's great for some laughs and really catches people off guard.
  19. Now there's the kind of rig I'm looking for. Maybe I should sell my pathy and snag something like that...hmm. Say, while I'm on the topic. Are there any good places to compare Patrols, Land Rovers, Land Cruisers and other 4X4s of that era? I really want to learn more about 'em. -study-

    noisy belts

My belts also make a lot of noise. I'm going to change them (hopefully) this week along with the t-belt. Is it a wise move to replace the water pump as well? I have no problems with the cooling system so is it necessary?
  24. That's going in the sig!!!!!! -bounce-
