Hmm, do I know you? Welcome aboard Dave!
-
Do I? Huh? Do I? -bounce- I think there could be a brownie point system we could rig up. Like truck of the month, but its "converter" of the month or something. BTW, has anyone considered a NPORA MySpace page? It could be a great recriuting tool. Just a thought
-
OK, so now I have another Pathy convert to bring along. He picked up a 94 SE with an LSD and all the usuall bells and whistles. Save for a couple small leaks, it is in pretty nice shape. He's got some near-new Bridgestone Duelers (31X10.5) and I'm jealous. Here are our rigs at work today. Excuse the cell phone picture please. These things need some mud!!!! -bounce- I figure that the best day to get out for the two of us would be a Thursday. We both have the day off from work and I have no class. What will be good for the rest of ya?
-
<shiver runs down my spine> As disturbng as that second picture is. Could this be the real Peter?
-
I'm afraid of it. You don't think that whatever disease it has is contageous, do you? :o Though, I don't think my engine bay will ever be that clean...nor do I want it to be.
-
Spolar, are there any good trails or areas near you? I'm here at EWU in Cheney so I'm kinda in the middle, 'bout an hour from you I guess. Thomas, how's the huntin? BTW, the pic in my signature is from the ORV park we're talking about. Pretty tame stuff this time last year, but fun. DJ's Pics from first trip out: Nine Mile Pics

Tears, that's the only word I have to describe how funny those are. I haven't laughed that hard in God knows how long. I almost  my breakfast. Ausgezeichnet!!
-
I second that motion! Just Ask Casey.T what I'm talking about.....Though, the bolts that didn't break turned out to be a big pain, just in another way hmm
-
OK, Spokompton folks. The season is here! -bounce- This rain has gotten me antsy. We need to hit up the mud down by Nine Mile and soon. Once my gas tank is back together I think we should meet up for some muddy mudness. BTW hopefully we will have a new addition to our crew. One of my work buddies is looking to get a Pathy (or he has already) and he wants to go play! Now we need to organize!

:o Well, I AM hurt. Only one thing left to do -alcohol-
-
Good thing that you're ok. I trust that you whipped out a .300Win mag and shot out that SOB's tires as he tried to get away.... :X sly
-
Ummm, yeah This is good to hear as I hope to replace the hubs someday. OK, its settled. I'm buying snap ring pliers!!!!
-
Dude, you're such a noob! Welcome a'board! -bounce-
-
Ah, thanks. Next question. What the hell are snap ring pliers for? Or maybe I should ask, am I ever going to use this tool again after the tranny fluid flush?
-
'Tis true, and someday I hope to get one..........someday
-
I JUST found the thread about the manual trans fluid problem where you need snap ring pliers to remove the shift boot cover to add more fluid. I found the tool on summit for ten bucks. Can I get it cheaper elsewhere? Nevermind, schucks has 'em cheaper.
-
I voted XE because that's what I have. 'course it has all the power bells and whistles of the SE but that wasn't my decision, I blame Hertz for that one. I would prefer mostly manual things like windows, locks and mirrors. The LSD is nice, though. I just wish it had disc brakes and a roofrack. Who needs chrome and leather, this is a truck. It aint supposed to be perty, right?
-
I should have looked at this earlier, damnit. I skipped work today and everything!! Well I work Saturday and Sunday 6am-4pm. Tomorrow's good after 4 unless you're too beat from Silverwood, you lucky dog.

I do want to upgrade the wiring and use heavier guage wires and relays. That will be the first step. I think that the improved output will be better served with superior optics eventually, though. Z, from what I understood, the only hardbody parts required are the grill, parking lights and headlight buckets. Is the hood really required for this change?
-
I emailed DS and he was quick to get back to me on the issue. I've believed that TUV lights are superior for some time and I want to install them on the Pathy. I figure its going to cost me about $250 for the complete deal which includes the grill, marker lights and headlight buckets off a hardbody as well as E Code lights, quality H4 bulbs and a relay kit from DS. If anyone has completed the swap, was it worthwhile?

To quote Beanie in Old School, "Still holding! Still holding!" The stuff we got is a two part putty that you mix together and stick on the hole. It is still there and working. -bounce- So the question is should I replace it with that JB patch? And will JB still hold since this leak is on the bottom of the tank at the lowest point? (meaning that it will never be dry unless pulled out and drained.) How's the eye today?? :X I'm surprized I didn't hear one of these :furious:

Ok good, I've got some stuff to check out tomorrow with Casey.T. I hope it is something simple. I'll let ya know what we find.
-
First question, Casey.T ol' buddy, how the hell are ya? I'll pm you with my schedule and maybe we can swing a meeting here soon. Secondly, where is the return line located? (I am ignorant, you see) Thirdly, if the lines are shot, would braided SS lines be advisable? Vielen dank meine Freunde.
