  1. I just dealt with these yesterday. I used needle nose pliars. Grabbed them by the "pointy end" with the pliars and forced them into the grille. Then I gently twisted them with the pliars until they clicked back into place. Got all 4 back in intact!
  2. I felt the same way. 'Course it took me needing to do exhaust research to get back in here. Great folks on here still. I'm in the same boat, trying to decide how much to invest or go into debt again on a car loan, yikes....
  3. OEM exhaust manifolds or headers?........what to do.

Exhaust work is not cheap for sure but it's one of the best mods ever. If you are not planning on re-doing the entire system just go with the factory manifolds and scrap the heat shields.

That's prob what I'll do. I lost a chuck of heat shield years ago in Spokane wheeling with Casey.T. Thanks Tungsten

No problems. If you are going to stick with factory manifolds, check them for cracking and warping unless you are buying new ones.

  4. More snow. Time to see how the new shoes handle it.

How did they handle the snow and ice?

So far they're better tan the Pathfinder All Terrains I had. Of course the snow all melted as soon as I got them.

  6. Huh. Babies like chewing on tree bark. Who knew?

  7. I'm trying to replace the fuel filter and I can't get the lines off. The best I can figure are some vice grips to twist the lines off but it seems like it'll rip the hoses, and I don't want that.
  8. Would it be possible for the design to tie in the front corner posts to the center grill guard with a horizontal piece a-la ARB?
  9. I received the diagnosis this weekend while visiting the folks. Its a small patch behind the driver's side wheel well at the very bottom of the rocker. Of course its somewhere exposed and it seems like a big PITA to deal with.
  10. I know a dairy farmer who'd appreciate that. The Miata with the stars coming out of it! Holy cats thats awesome! Glad I wasn't drinking
  11. So how exactly does one start a "Dooo it, dooo it" chant?
  12. /\ +1 I can vouch for that!
  13. Hehe, well she did mention something about some money in savings......
  14. As I noted in my Northwest states post, I recently departed company with the heat shield on my muffler. Do you think it gets hot enough to cause me problems down the road? (Like some others with burning carpets...) If not I'll probably just let it go, but I don't want my backseat a-smokin' Plus the fiancee has been lecturing me about getting a new exhaust (she's swell) Whaddaya think? Leave it be for now or opt for new pipes from the cat-back since I can't afford an entire system?
  15. Damn James, that sucks the big one. just push a shotgun shell wayyyy up into his exhaust with a stick or other long implement. He'll just drive around like normal and once it heats up inside the muffler *BANG* bye bye muffler. But be sure to use small shot, don't want to kill the SOB............well, maybe you do.
  16. This guy has great write-ups on lighting. Daniel Stern Lighting He recommends upgrading the wiring harness to a relay kit and then swapping our lights/grill to those of a hardbody and then replacing the HB sealed beam lights with quality replaceable beam units. Like so \/ \/ He debunks the myths about those rice boy blue lights and talks about yellow lenses other interesting stuff.
  17. Yup. And it looks like this week's episode shows the Pathy at a gas station getting nailed by tornadoish winds and debris. Too bad the team is made up of a bunch of morons who appear to have no idea what they are doing. Cool show, though.
  18. Hmmm. Someday.....when I have a home and a place to work now that I'm moving away from the mad banker...
  19. I'll be moving over to that area next month from the east side of the state. I know there are about 4 or 5 others nearby too, plus 3 of us over in eastern Washington (Spokane) No shortage of NPORAers, just scheduling issues. BTW: How do you like that CB setup?
  20. What he said /\ /\ Also, what the hell happened to the console??
  21. Hey, two people like my slogan!
  22. A bit off topic: Would that D21 model fit on a WD21?
  23. What I meant was that I'd like shirts that are manufactured here in the US, not in China or Honduras or somewhere. I know that you're here and that you print them here. Does that make sense?
  24. We were all thinking it. Someone had to say it.
