  1. Alignment.... the cams are easy, the crank, most motors do not have the timing mark on the oil pump housing the crank gear mark should be in about the 5, 5:30 position, 40 teeth between the cams and 43 teeth to the crank gear mark.... If thats all set correctly then we can play with the dizzy.... if your talking about the little brass button on the face of the dizzy body, the book is off a bit on that imo... Mark #1 on the Cap and carry the mark down onto the dist housing, remove cap and draw the line into the housing(88's do have the plug wires coming out the top??? if not... draw a line from the #1 contact under the cap down the cap and around to the out side of the cap, then make the marks dist body) With the alignment marks set(#1 at TDC on the compression stroke) the rotor should point directly and almost dead center at the nice new marks you just made..... Try turning the dist with the motor running to see if it runs any better(ignore the timing light for the moment) if you get to the max rotation and its running better, we get to play with re-setting the distributor.... If you got all that set and its running like crap... I would then venture to guess you have a vacuum leak... ok, now how many people have I had this converstaion with???? Sucks to be the 1st to figure out what you screwed up on yourself.... Even though according to the book it was dead nuts...
  2. This year Spokane County is not requiring Oxygenated Gas, and im still getting 19-21 mpg.... When they run the Oxygenated gas ill drop down to 15-16 mpg... You may also want to check your codes from the ECU and see if its thowing any codes back at you....
  3. OOOOOoooo!!! you might get lucky like I did and have to reset the Distriutor.... Do ^^^^ stuff first, then we will play with the dizzy if needed
  4. Should have put this in the original post.... That points out that the individual that hit your rig is not a friend, and should not be treated like a friend.... I bash someones rig I dont know on accident... I pay, no questions asked... I bash someone I do know, odds are I fix it or pay for it after we are done Crying/laughing our a$$es off depending on the damage.... If there was no appologie or attempt, screw him... Police report and insurance time.... and stay clear of him on any future trails or even the parking lot for that matter...
  5. Tires make a huge difference in the Snow and Ice. I have 3 pathfinder, The set on the 95 is brand new and Siped, I go most places in 2wd even with all of the snow and Ice... Just this weekend I was running up to go coyote hunting, took the 95(new siped tires) and has some small issues with the Snow Drifts. Sunday morning I took the 91 with 33x9.5's no issues with even bigger drifts... the 92 went up yesterday and I had to put it in 4wd to make it up the 1st hill in the farmers driveway, Studded AT's.... Figure that one out... Once the snow melts ill put the old tires back on the 95....
  6. Answered your own question imo.... Unless you no longer want to be friends.... Though sliding around a corner does take some skill mixed with luck...

  8. that is if you have the Str and Agi to actually hit some of these guys.... im in the top 700 ranking and still cant hit sh!t...
  9. Based on what little can figure out on the gangs.... If we make 4 gangs, and have each of them at war with the other 3 that takes care of only being able to be in 3 gang wars at a time. Would that prevent the other A$$hats from bashing us into oblivian just because they can?
  10. its alright, we have been together for a long time, we will out last them... Aaron can you email me the shop listings?
  11. in the rear with the TM 4" cans and the 3" AC springs with the BL... 10" maybe, but based on the pic it does not sit any higher than 88... the TM font does relocate the rear mounting of the torsion bars...

  20. I never said it was easy.... can be quite difficult, I think im up to removing and replacing 9 starters so far, not all of them mine... 2 on the 88 2 on the 95 3 on the 91, engine replaced as well 1 on the 92 1 on Olivers
  21. 10mm socket for the skid plate and + battery terminal, 14mm socket and a couple of extensions for the 2 bolts holding the starter in place. Once its loose, remove the connection to the Oil Sending Unit... turn the starter so the solenoid is in the 12 o'clock position and slide it forward over the Center Link... takes me about 15 min and that includes washing my hands after words....
  22. Front shaft out and the CV's removed... nothing that I can think of...
  23. To get it down the road, you could drop the front drive shaft, assuming you can get the front hubs to let go.... A used JY Diff should not be to spendy... Depending on your location there might be one available from this board As for Trashing your pathy.... Hell NO!!!
  24. Stupid question, but Im allowed a few... Set per the book when assembled and re-installed into the pathy "OR" With a timing light after installation while it was running????
