  1. got a '91 w/ a v6---Haynes manual shows the torque spec for the cam pulley bolts to be 58 to 65 Ft-lbs--but they were waaay tighter than that when I took 'em off--anyone know of a service bulletin or update? Thanks
  2. hey---nailed it--just an open-handed slap on the left rear corner and it popped up like a champ---now I guess I got no excuse for not replacing that bypass hose and/or water pump Thanks for the help
  3. Cable is still attached to handle and will pull out an inch or so, 'bout like normal except nothing seems to happen at the latch end. Thanks for the responses---if the ice ever melts around here I'll keep messin' with it.
  4. Can anyone offer me any help re:getting the hood up on my '91? Pulling the release inside doesn't pop the hood. Thanks in advance
  5. It was a WheelSkin--got it from Sparkle Auto Detail in Garden City, Ks---stitched it myself, kit comes w/waxed thread and needles--kinda tough on old fingers, though. Got a picture somewhere; I'll try to fing it.
  6. You might check corvette forum for a guy named Chuck Pelton--he used to get around $200.00 exchange for a leather wrapped C-3 wheel--I've seen his work and it looks as good as factory stuff---but being the cheapskate that I am, I went for a kit and did my own--didn't turn out too bad. Good Luck
