  1. Thats how i personally think it should be everywhere.
  2. That is correct.. appologize to your wife for me.. lol Right now they are marked off-road use only but there seems to be a ton of places in the States and in Canada where it doesn't matter ... atleast those are the calls i'm getting. The problem with the cats is that they were simply too close to the manifolds and if the headers were made to accommodate to cats, they would crack just like the factory manifolds. So we opted to ditch the cats and build a reliable product. CA state laws state that the cats have to be in the factory location. so moving them further down stream isn't an option.
  3. Yes i sure do.

  4. However they do eliminate the primary cats on each side. You'll need to check with your local smog laws if you plan on using these on the street. The original plan was to make them fit with the cats but it simply wasn't possible with the factory manifold/cat configuration.
  5. I sure did! We haven't verified that they are the exact same for the xterra/frontier as the R50 but we do have them for the Frontier and xterra 3.3. http://ruggedrocksoffroad.com/advanced_search_result.php?search_in_description=1&keywords=465-l-c
  6. I've been running around here in CA w/o mudflaps for over 2 years and it hasn't been a problem... BTW it seems like a bunch of you guys are up north.. i'll be heading up north next week to washington... never been there. should be fun.
  7. This is something i've always wanted to do. Start a new thread??

  9. Trail run pics are posted here: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=27028
  10. The Owner of Richmond is having health problems and is out till late July. For right now things are at a stand still but will continue moving when he returns
  11. Yes, no problem. Although i didn't know about it until shortly after the e-mail for this run were sent out, I'm aware of the closures that are happening on cleghorn but no one that i know of has been up there since. So i figured we'd cruise through have what fun we can and continue onward through pilot rock and possibly willow creek to Devils Hole, time permitting. It does look like quite a few of the cleghorn off-shoots have been closed but supposedly some of the fun stuff is still there. I don't have any details beyond that. This run should settle the curiosity floating around on the boards and also make for a easy day out with good company while matching faces with online screen-names. I figured this is a good way to kick off the summer wheeling season. As for communications, I have both ham and CB in the pathfinder, I'll be on CB:22. Ham: 145.520 simplex my call is KF6WVM. I'll see you guys off the 15fwy & cleghorn rd. exit at the trail head / under the overpass in the shade at 8:30a.
  12. I don't have a final cost on the axle but you're right it's not going to be cheap, but it will be good. I may have Trail-Gear make some H233B fronts but for right now it diamond all the way. TG seemed interested in it when i last talked to them in august last year.
  13. Yup, Thats Kenny. He's wheels with us often being that he's not far from here at all.
  14. We headed out at 1am the morning of the 20th to drive all night and start our 4 day journey along the swamp lake 4x4 trail. After a quick fast food breakfast in town we soon found out that there is still snow on ALL the trails up there. Not just a little snow, a whole lot. more than enough to get us into trouble. so instead of heading onto swamp lake we decided to explore some other lower elevation trails for a few days. the first night we even watched Shutter Island in camp. All of the pics are here: http://ruggedrocksoffroad.com/gallery/v/lost-creek-sierra-4x4-5-20-2010/ http://ruggedrocksoffroad.com/gallery/d/10197-3/lost-creek-sierra-mountains-4x4-nwf0872.jpg[/img] Letting Robs dog stretch her legs:

  16. Nice, I like triangulated 4-links! In fact We've got a kit designed that should be out by the end of summer. It's basically an improvement on what i've been running.
  17. Outdoor Adventure USA (Welcome to Outdoor Adventure USA, LLC - Everyone deserves to be outdoors.) is holding their annual "Summerfest" in Big Bear, CA - June 25-27, 2010. This event is open to all - there will be 4x4 trail runs, hiking trips, and a Amateur Radio Field Day station... In addition to all the off-road trail activities and hiking trips planned, We are looking for all licensed ham radio operators, interested in participating in this Amateur Radio Field Day event, to sign up and volunteer to help us demonstrate the fun of worldwide HF communications and the benefit of Ham radio as a method of emergency communication in the outback. Field Day is an annual event that is used to demonstrate the ability of amateur radio to provide communication in emergency situations - in any environment, using the resources available. We will be setting up amateur radio operating stations in the Big Bear backcountry, utilizing generator, battery, and wind generator power. We will be operating at least 5 dedicated radio systems in an attempt to make contacts on various bands worldwide, over a 24 hour period. Anyone can help out with our Field Day operation as long as a licensed amateur is present - with the bands charged with stations worldwide looking to make contacts with US participants, this promises to be a spectacular event in an amazing area. Register at http://www.outdooradventureusa.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1858 Join us for a weekend of fun at OAUSA Summerfest 2010 !!!
  18. Generally you don't want to use more than 3% difference although i've heard of people running the 4.56 & 4.6 combo. Using the 4.9 & 4.88 or 5.13 & 5.14 combo will be better. What size tires are you running?
  19. The outside edge of the the sliders are about 2" wider than the widest part of the door. They look closer to the doors in the pictures than they are in real life.the sliders come without the stand off tubes attached so you can place them how ever you like.
  20. Sounds good. I don't have any body lift on my truck and yes it's about a 1/4" gap from the tube to the pinch seam.
  21. I had actually been meaning to add the gusset kits to the site and now that you guys brought it up, i got it done. You can find both, the sliders and gusset kits here: http://ruggedrocksoffroad.com/rock-sliders-c-895.html I strongly recommend the gusset kits or additional frame plating of some type. The gussets themselves are definitely nice to have as well. Now that everything is painted it's a little hard to see the gussets and plating but they are there. Here is a under body shot of my sliders:
  22. Thanks! I'm sure you can get them to work on an R50 as well. Shipping costs depend on where you are and are calculated live in coordination with UPS's servers during checkout on Rugged Rocks. they ship from CA and weigh 65#. you will also get a UPS tracking number e-mailed to you once they ship.
