  1. Here's my vote for the WD21. The xterras are nice but the leaf suspension doesn't work nearly as well as the WD21 linked suspension. The R50 and X has the larger VG33 but you can drop a VG33 into a WD21. The R50 has a nice rear suspension but it's unibody and a full frame is preferable. The aftermarket options do vary between trucks but it all depends on what YOU want want to do with your truck and the type of wheeling you do.
  2. DT stopped production of the headers but I can have them make a minimum run of 20 sets if we get about 15 people wanting / needing a set. I talked to them about this earlier this week.
  3. How do you figure 4.3 are effectively 4.01's?
  4. Thats how i personally think it should be everywhere.
  5. That is correct.. appologize to your wife for me.. lol Right now they are marked off-road use only but there seems to be a ton of places in the States and in Canada where it doesn't matter ... atleast those are the calls i'm getting. The problem with the cats is that they were simply too close to the manifolds and if the headers were made to accommodate to cats, they would crack just like the factory manifolds. So we opted to ditch the cats and build a reliable product. CA state laws state that the cats have to be in the factory location. so moving them further down stream isn't an option.
  6. Yes i sure do.

  7. However they do eliminate the primary cats on each side. You'll need to check with your local smog laws if you plan on using these on the street. The original plan was to make them fit with the cats but it simply wasn't possible with the factory manifold/cat configuration.
  8. I sure did! We haven't verified that they are the exact same for the xterra/frontier as the R50 but we do have them for the Frontier and xterra 3.3. http://ruggedrocksoffroad.com/advanced_search_result.php?search_in_description=1&keywords=465-l-c
  9. This is something i've always wanted to do. Start a new thread??
  10. NPORA Members get 5% Off site wide on non-sale pathfinder parts with Discount Code: BTX68 http://RuggedRocks.com - Nissan 4x4 Parts & Accessories
  11. The Owner of Richmond is having health problems and is out till late July. For right now things are at a stand still but will continue moving when he returns
  12. I don't have a final cost on the axle but you're right it's not going to be cheap, but it will be good. I may have Trail-Gear make some H233B fronts but for right now it diamond all the way. TG seemed interested in it when i last talked to them in august last year.
  13. Nice, I like triangulated 4-links! In fact We've got a kit designed that should be out by the end of summer. It's basically an improvement on what i've been running.
  14. Generally you don't want to use more than 3% difference although i've heard of people running the 4.56 & 4.6 combo. Using the 4.9 & 4.88 or 5.13 & 5.14 combo will be better. What size tires are you running?
  15. The outside edge of the the sliders are about 2" wider than the widest part of the door. They look closer to the doors in the pictures than they are in real life.the sliders come without the stand off tubes attached so you can place them how ever you like.
  16. Sounds good. I don't have any body lift on my truck and yes it's about a 1/4" gap from the tube to the pinch seam.
  17. I had actually been meaning to add the gusset kits to the site and now that you guys brought it up, i got it done. You can find both, the sliders and gusset kits here: http://ruggedrocksoffroad.com/rock-sliders-c-895.html I strongly recommend the gusset kits or additional frame plating of some type. The gussets themselves are definitely nice to have as well. Now that everything is painted it's a little hard to see the gussets and plating but they are there. Here is a under body shot of my sliders:
  18. Thanks! I'm sure you can get them to work on an R50 as well. Shipping costs depend on where you are and are calculated live in coordination with UPS's servers during checkout on Rugged Rocks. they ship from CA and weigh 65#. you will also get a UPS tracking number e-mailed to you once they ship.
  19. A long time ago i had mocked up these sliders in place, took a few pics and i think they started floating around here on NPORA but i finally welded a set to my truck and they came out really good. I just posted a quick little blog on them at http://ruggedrocksoffroad.com/blog but here is a copy/paste of it: Finding a pair of production rock sliders for Nissan Pathfinders isn’t easy, but Trail-Gear has been making weld on rock sliders for Toyota’s which coincidentally work out really well. I recently ordered up a 67″ set from Trail-Gear along with the plate and gusset kit for use on my 1990 Nissan Pathfinder. After cutting the standoff tubes to length locating the inner slider tube directly under the pinch seam on the rocker panel, the slider was angled up at 30 degrees. This put the sliders in a functional position as well as made them visually pleasing. Trail-Gear sliders can be ordered online here: http://ruggedrocksoffroad.com/rock-sliders-c-895.html
  20. yup, you guys read it right. basically just swapping the backing plate.
  21. I would say yes. Nothing immediately comes to mind that would prevent it.
  22. Thats a really clean truck and great luck to have that come your way! & Welcome to NPORA. I'm up near San Bernardino and we have quite a few people down in San Diego on the Rugged Rocks board. Infact they went on a run today down near the mexican border. I hear they had a good run. i'm anxiously waiting for the pics to be posted on the Rugged Rocks later tonight or tomorrow. Feel free to drop by the rugged rocks board if you want to wheel with us. the majority of us are in so cal.
