I agree... Because in the off chance that it does come off the stands it AND rolls of the jack, just having that jack there will give you a split second to even a couple seconds long to get the h*ll out from under the truck! That along make it worth leaving the jack in place -thnkboutit-

There are actually a couple cases in the works to test this out... just to be sure. Someone will let everyone else know once we figure this out But as DSM has said, everywhere we look it is the SAME part number. So based on that there should be no boubt about using springs from a 6cyl

From what I remember of the kit, I think you are right... it drops the diff as well and thus does not change CV angles. Only that of the front drive shaft.

To bad you getting rid of the Pathy, but the Ranger will probably not turn out like others have said. I know several people who have had them, ranging from the late models back to the early/mid 90's... they have had little to no trouble with them

rockauto.com lists repair/reseal kits for $9.29-$13.62. However I think it has been said that they do not ship to Canada. partsamerica.com also lists them for $18.99 Point is, it would seem they are availible. It's just a matter of finding a place that you can get them from.

Congrats on getting them in and showing that lift is not the only reason to install the alternate coils. Did you run into anything worthy of note? Like a problem area, given the time I am betting not. You would not happen to have any pictures showing the before and after, would you?

Umm people.... he never actually "said" it was a manual... only compared it to how a manual would act under certain conditions -thnkboutit- David, having it looked at is by far the best thing you could do. It could be a number of things but any time a transmission acts in such a way, it is time to stop driving it immediately and get it in to be checked

What about fab'ing some quick disconnects? I have not actually looked to see how feasible it might actually be on our trucks, but the after market makes such items for other makes and models.

Something more solid than ply would be better, like a 2x8/10/12 whatever is wide enough for the jack stands to safely rest on. Ply would probably more more prove to weakening due to adsorbing water too. You could also use some solid bricks, but I would not recommend cinder (sp?) blocks. Although I have used them before, I can't advise anyone too because they tend to break easily.

I agree, I am still temped to remove the new studs that I just put in and replace them with bolts... but then, I may just wait till I get headers
