Hmm, that rights 1157's are dual filament, 56's are single. Been so long since I have had to replace a light in anything that I forgot Yeah these are for backup lights only. My mistake, these are replacements for an 1156 bulb and not an 1157. Although I have heard of brighter dual-filament bulbs I do not know if Blazer makes any. So do you have the MH1C's? By chance do you know of any retail stores that carry them?

:cool2: deej I agree completely 88... all the places I used to go to in HS show no signs of us having ever been there, now -thnkboutit-

Within the Yota community people have said they use 50w Blazer International MH1C lights. I have looked around locally for some but have never had any luck finding them. I do plan on trying them as my Yota's backup lights suck for anything other than city driving... having a really dark tinted rear window (and now a canopy for the winter) has only made it worse. I plan on calling/emailing Blazer directly about them. Those who have reported using them said they made a huge difference and that they only cost a couple bucks each. If they work out in the Yota, the Pathy will also get a couple.

See now that is what I was thinking... that there was not one. (thus my earlier statement about not knowing Nissans setup for them) I was just under there and I failed to look.. was messing with the coils. But I don't recall anything that resembled a proportioning valve or lever

Slick, get some smaller ones and place them on the headlights sly hmm, maybe tail light wraps

Trail Gear>Trail Accessories sly

Ok I am not entirely sure how the Pathy valve works.. soooo I am going to look at it like my Yota's (because I am to lazy to go out to the garage right now and look)... Does your truck have a suspension lift? *Will go out in a while and take a good look at the system

There is no waste.. when you SAS you simply sell of said upgrade parts to us unfortunate souls who cannot SAS

As others said.. check the wrecking yards.

Ok thanks everyone... that was what I kinda figured (that they were reliable)... looks like this will not be a problem for me

Yeah the reason(s) of my questioning does include my intent on using it as a parking break. The fact that they are electric bothers me some. Although I have no problems with the charging system (actually just replaced alternator and V. Reg) you just never know The one you linked too eliminates the battery side of it, but introduces more plumbing changes... which I guess it not really a big deal. This is one like it that I was considering as well.

Ok so who here has used a roll control brake device before.. such as Line/Loc's? What I would like to know is... How well did it work for you? Did it retain "FULL" brake holding power on the end of the vehicle it was installed? Ever used them on hills? How long if ever, did it take for the pressure to bleed off (any, especially enough to allow movement) Did you ever use them as a "Parking Brake" and if so, was it safe and did you learn to trust it after a few uses? Basically I am looking for any real world knowledge on these devices... any help is appreciated

Just for the record... a D21 is a Hardbody pickup. The 87-95 Pathfinders are WD21's Why is that important here? Well its not really I think we all get that you are asking about a Pathfinders spring perches. But as an FYI, Hardbody (D21's) have leaf rear springs while Pathfinders use the coils that your asking about. Again, not a big deal just letting you know

Nice find *Files that bit of info away in the back of his mind

Thank you

A Propane torch makes life a lot easier too

yeah, and then come finish mine for me

Slick, I feel your pain... the engine I have is supposed to only have 131K but it looks like hell... my original 291K engine is FAR cleaner than the replacement. But who knows maybe mine was just kept in a better environment (keeps telling himself that). Whether that engine had an AT or MT attached to it should not make a difference.. afaik. It figured they would keep the F. Rail! Now make a trip to the parts store and say "I need to order half of a set of plug wires.. oh, and a coil wire" see what kind of looks you get
-
This is most likely something related to the Hardbody... The cab and bed of a HB sits higher off of the frame than that of a Pathfinder. The holes were likely put in all the frames to make production easier. Rather than running batches of two different frame designs they run them all the same... at least on that section of the production line anyway But good find, thanks for sharing that bit of info

Congrats and good job

Just thought I would let you all know what is goin
RedPath88 replied to wheel366's topic in The Garage
He did, it was posted in a new thread in another section... II got it back!, Finally -
Yeah sure, keep telling yourself that. It won't matter after the first few... or dozen. But they will turn into battle scares, marks of honor and things too be proud of. Over time you will find that just about everyone will have a story to accompany it

Blown head gasket? Perhaps the expansion of the block/head is sealling a slight leak between a water jacket and a firing chamber, after it warms up? I know, not likely but it's a shot in the dark
