1. Recent outage was caused by the shear amount of info we have here! We exceeded the allowable limits for the size of our database. A temporary fix has been done, which allowed the forum back online.
2. fleurys, perhaps it is time to edit the title of this topic to reflect the updated status? Just say the word and one of the Mod Team will make it so
3. Moved topic from TotM section to The Garage.
4. Three duplicate threads have been removed. I see your a tapatalk user, please ignore errors that it gives when posting. Just refresh the view and you will find that your content was posted.
5. Yes you will need a converter since Pathfinders have separate tail/brake and turn signals. For installation, you can tap into the lines in the left & right rear compartments on the interior wall by the hatch. From the "How To" section right here in the garage How to... install hitch wiring I removed your duplicate post in the model year section. Making duplicate topics just spreads the answers out across the forum, while using just one topic, keeps the into together and more organized.
6. Replace the timing belt when you do it, coolant can damage the belt and cause early failure. Don't want to destroy lifters/pistons as a result of a water pump failure, especially when replacement belts can be had for as low as $16.
7. I am going to close this topic and provide a link (see below) to your other, duplicate, topic. Not only is it within our guidelines to not post similar topics, but more importantly, it is best to keep things in one place, because it allows other members to help you more easily. Forum help often involves members building off of the thoughts and suggestions posted by other NPORA Members. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/41962-1995-pathfinder-shifting-transmission-issue/
8. SE does not mean 31's (or anything else for that matter), mine is an SE and came stock with 235/75/15's Check the info plate to be sure.
9. This may be more helpful than the Haynes manual. Download all sections, keep them in the same folder and start with FWD.pdf Factory Service Manuals Open it with Adobe reader and you can just click the sections in the FWD.pdf for a little easier navigation. Also, pictures of the connectors that you are asking about can help others figure out exactly what you need. Close ups are good, but including a wide shot of the area is also very helpful. 10. Just searching this section (The Garage) for "trailer wiring" quickly brought up the following thread trailer wiring Which further links too Wiring '87 for trailer towing
11. Working of the assumption that your trailer lights have integrated brake/turn signals (single bulb) then you need a tail/brake light converter, because our trucks use separate brake and turn lights.
12. So you get upset, I tell you to stop and you quit? Makes sense
13. Ok time for everyone to step back and let this go. If you have nothing constructive to add please do not post I'd hate to have to remove people from this topic, close it outright and/or hand out warnings
14. I personally would not waste the time or money on the controller, wiring and time/cost of installation unless I actually had a need for it. Not sure about this but I doubt you will find a trailer that has brakes unless it is designed to carry heavy loads and(or?) is a dual axle. If the need arises in the future you can always address it then. Although I have a small, light duty single axle trailer and have towed heavier ones (with other vehicles) I am not even sure if or trucks are capable of safely towing a load heavy enough to require trailer brakes. But again not knowing the exact federal DOT and your states DOT requirements, I cannot say for sure.
15. And the valves, they took the damage when my RH cam broke, pistons were fine.
16. For future reference: First post, second subject: New People Start Here! > Pathfinder Common Problems/Fixes, Read this first! Includes info on relay mod: The Garage > How-To's > Headlights performing poorly?
17. Does the url that you are using end in .jpg or something else? Post the entire link here so we can see exactly what you are trying to use. Use the code tags to post it. Please type (minus the spaces) [ code ] before it, and [ /code ] after the URL. Doing so will give you the following YOUR URL LINK HEREAnd your text string will look like this when properly typed out
YOUR URL LINK HERE
18. Welcome to NPORA! I deleted the one thread that had no replies and merged the remaining two. Please do not post similar or identical threads in several places around the forum, it just makes it harder for other members to offer the help you need. Just pick the one area that seems most appropriate to you and post there, if it needs moved later we can do that. Often the desired resolution comes from members building off of each others idea's. When those are spread between multiple posts, it takes longer for things to get sorted out. And a side note, as 5523 mentioned above please ignore errors that tapatalk may give you when posting and/or creating new threads. It is a known problem with TT and one that is not valid because your content is actually posted. Just refresh your view and you will see it.
19. Forum was offline for 30min for a minor software update.
20. Mine has been in there... *lost track of the years* ...with no issue. It is a BWD iirc.
21. One of the Jiffy Lube's in Everett, WA failed to refill an ex-coworkers company vehicle (full-sized Dodge cargo van) one time when it was there for a basic oil change. He made it a couple blocks before the knocking started.
22. "Download the factory service manual. It will have testing procedures for checking the possible things causing the problems." Factory Service Manuals
23. 4WheelParts has MM's for 108.99 and Warn for 271.99, both with free shipping.
