will let you start the truck without depressing the clutch for sticky situations. just press it and once and start the truck. not in gear though!

Well, if you got pieces of impeller and metal shavings caught in weird places, it could dislodge some of them... possibly..... I just think its your best bet. But thats just my opinion. lol

there are all sorts of cooling portals that pieces could be caught in... and it sounds to me like that is exactly what you have going on.... You havn't done a flush?? I am not sure if it would work or not... but its wort a try for sure if you havn't! Man you have had some bum luck with that reman motor!

Sorry, I jumped in half way... did it break off any fins? or do any damage? something could be partially blocked in your cooling system.

when was the last time you replaced the water pump? I have seen impeller blades fail and cause your issues... no one could figure it out until we finally replaced the water pump and it had 2 missing blades!

well, if you dont have $ to fix it.. drive it! My throwout bearing has been making noise for 15 thousand miles, and I just keep driving it!

Mine is hard to shift into first.. has been since I got it, I just shove it in, this is a common problem. Can you describe the "rubbing" thing better? My guess is your throwout bearing is making noise and vibrating. Does it stop when you push the clutch in?

Beastpath was asking about it, so here are some pictures. It appears stock and is quite nice to have. It covers the entire cargo area and goes right up the back of the seats. my carpet still looks brand new thanks to it!

Lots of them fail... (due to neglect) but not before the reccomended intravals is what I believe Simon was saying. -
Put a brick on the pedal. it should work fine agian.

Just bend the old ones a tiny bit.. they will work great agian! Ive done that on all of my cars in the past.
