Nope, these are in the center of the hub not on the outside of the rim... I see them on minivans and camery's alot...

I am not sure about the pathfinder because I have never done mine... but if the t belt runs the waterpump and the pump seizes... it will snap the belt.

you have a remote start?... no wonder you were using oil!

I often stick a long screwdriver on it with the handle touching the selonoid and tap on the screwdriver with a hammer, wont leave any marks. I would try that before yanking the starter off!

Reffering to B's post.. I do 90 in my pathfinder weekly, and have never had an issue... it seems to just have a sweet spot for 85. and we aint talking about no kilometers per hour eh'

You seem to have been running it alot at fluctuating temps though... could be possible. I would check the oil as K9 suggested. Man.. if I was in pheonix.. I'd buy you a beer or two... I think you need it!

yea, i see cars with a round black disk bolted to the outside of the wheel. It is maybe 4-5 inches wide.... I have never known what it was but figured it was some wheel balancing thing...
