  1. Is that on the Pezzy calendar I keep hearin about?
  2. I shold have a price tomorrow, one of the guys on the Perth4x4 site works for a sign writer, he is quoting up 2 sizes of vinyl cut stickers, one at 30cm long and another at 15cm long. Not sure about postage though to the states though, will let ppl know if they are keen, or I could send them over to one person and then have them distributed from there.
  3. Oooh, this one I have to remember, next time I see someone throw a butt out the window.
  4. coins for the time being, but am considering taking it out and putting the little screen for the reversing camera and mu bluetooth unit for my phone.
  5. No cup holders is what drove me nuts with mine, got sick of spilling drinks. So I am in the process of putting some in with a little extra. I still have to fibreglass it all up and move the console forward a bit, but the fridge in there comes in handy.
  6. If you have time and skills re-build. If not, find a cheap pathy that is running solid and transplant. I have always gone the transplant method as its usually easier and can be done in a day.
  7. Yeah mate, seeing yours is what convinced me to kick this off so quickly, I will put 2 lights up there, probably the 2 I have on the truck atm. The wind deflector will only be in the middle of the rack, probably for looks more than anything. I will wire mine through the rear hatch with a plug inside so I can remove the rack if I need to without having to cut wires. I have the design of the awning sorted, will be done soon after the rack.
  8. Not sure about the stereo problem, but the headlight problem will be contacts in the stalk switch, you can pull it apart, clean the contacts and bend them slightlt to ensure you get a good connection, I have done this a couple of times with mine and it works everytime. I am sure there will be something in the how-to about this.
  9. Yeah, I will definitely be fitting 2 driving lights to the front, and probably some clearance lights down the sides and a work light out back, will run wires through the tube to keep it clean. But they may not be done for a while yet.
  10. These look fairly straight forward, if I could get a drawing I could have these priced up in Taiwan.
  11. Well, I drew up the basket this morning. With Awning out With awning away
  12. I wouldn't dream of it, bacon is there for all to enjoy, it should be a religion I think.
  13. One more BACON There, now back to hoin
  14. I believe it runs approx 60w, based on 5A max, but havent tested yet.
  15. Only one problem, its not a receiver type hitch looking at the pic. I am looking at rear recovery points at the moment, will possible end up losing the rear bumper or designing a replacement that allows a hith to pass through it and mount onto the frame.
  16. Nope, just enough clearance (had to run down stairs to check) Yeah, it would rest on the cans, but I use my left arm for the steering wheel, my right one is normally hanging out the window, so it wount affect me that much. When I pull it out I might look at pushing the handbrake forward so I can move the whole console forward, I looked at it yesterday, but I couldnt be bothered playing too much.
  17. Yep, they dont mind, gives them something else they can work on. The best part is it doesnt cost me anything, unless we have to buy in special materials that we dont have here already. And it may cost me 10 bucks for the powdercoating.
  18. Have been looking at buying a roof basket, but when they are going for 500 bucks 2nd hand I figured that it would be easier to get the boys at work to fabricate one for me, that way it will be to the dimensions I want. I found this online, which will be pretty much what I get done, will add 2 light mounts on front and a wind deflector as well, wont be full truck width as I will also have an awning made by our trim shop mounted on one side and a tube for fishing rods mounted on the other side. Already spoke to the boys, will be approximately 2 weeks away as they are busy this week.
  19. Crow, the guys on PCoA have done a pretty comprehensive write up on fitting the airtec snorkel, check this link out. http://pcoa.org.au/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1...a&start=165
  20. Well, I made a start, is mocked up and back in the truck, will be coming out for fibreglassing in the near future, so dont knock it for the finished look (as its not finished.) Cut the original console so the cooler will sit lower Then I made 3 brackets, 1 at the back of the original console and one toward the front of the box to ensure it stays secure (will post pics when I have it out to finish it later) Here is view with cooler fitted to the console, it sits a little higher than I would have preferred, but again that will be fixed when it comes out for finishing Now back in the truck, it has a switch fitted in the cetre console, I want to get an original driving light switch so it looks like it should be there. Again, this isnt the finished product, that will follow in the not to distant future.
  21. Turbo deisel can be done (mine is factory TD), but I believe would require whole new fuel system. Or as Alex said, spend the time and drop in something with a bit more power.
  22. There is a mob on Ebay selling snatch straps with a gift set of deflators, they look like Stauns, but I cant see them giving them away. Are probably the Smitty's
  23. How does one put a wheel on wrong????
  24. True, 4x4parts has some, but at US$105 plus what ever to get it sent to me, I figured it was better to do my own, didnt cost me anything and I would say stronger too.
  25. Go for it, the forum is here for us to share ideas/information. I will post drawings up later today, need to get them changed from the original design.
