subwaydiet
2.81 in Chandler....... I heard the gas was taxed like fifty cents by the government and only like seven by the gas companies so shouldnt every one be mad at the gov instead.

Precise1
Crap, really ?? It's $3.09 cheapest here and I thought that was bad !! Since I moved closer to work, 15 gallons will last almost 2 weeks !! Tomorrow is the garage sale so when the garage is cleared out I can work on the VW Bug and BMW bike, both worthy in town commuters... B

Precise1
78 VW Beetle Convertible, lowered, front end replaced, front disk brake conversion... I have some minor engine control work to do (it runs good), rear brakes, engine tin, air seals, and the interior. Carpet kit, seats and stereo/alarm install and it will be drivable, but not 'done'. They are never done... Pict below. The BMW is the K75 model I mentioned before. This one is an 87 (80,000 miles), black sport model, detachable locking hard bags, smoked wind screen, heated hand grips and custom seat (corbin). No photo yet unless I dig one up and scan it. It's not just a commuter though, I put 4300 miles on it in 12 days on one trip... Toys !!! Fun, collectable usable TOYS !!! B

Datsunman
THAT, my friend...SUCKS. But wait...dont you have deisel? and isnt that cheaper? Actually, diesel is more expensive but as generally diesels get better mileage it still works out better. Diesel used to be a lot cheaper than petrol and the government held the tax down to keep it that way until 1 new car in 3 sold was a diesel then they whacked the tax up and cashed in pssd -Ed

88pathoffroad
$2.85 here now. May have dropped a few cents since yesterday, I dunno. I was listening to the radio the other day and some oil specialist analyst was talking about how there are tankers full of oil waiting off the coast in the ocean still full of oil because the refineries can't process it fast enough. Prices are going to fall again soon. He said maybe even by as much as $1 per gallon. :D :D :D

88pathoffroad
93 octane won't help it run better or give it better performance, just so you know. Most of the time it just goes to waste. 87 works fine.

Precise1
Thats a good deal, but I chuckle at people who wait in lines to save the $5 or $8-10 max. Between the time and the gas used idling, I'd rather work an extra 15 minutes at the job to make up the difference... B
