513yj
sorry to disappoint you but the ruskies were taking care of the nazis and it is they dude's right to burn the flag if he wants to.. i may not completely agree but that doesn't matter.. i support his right to that choice. didn't you read the post? i said it was his right to i might not agree with him but it is his right it just p's me off that sacrifices were made so they can do that and they don't have enough respect not to, furthermore they don't agree w/ what's going on now so they burn the flag ask any legion member and they will tell you it disrespects them as much as anyone and lots of people gave thier lives for that symbol. and also the ruskies would have lost if hitler wouldnt have had to commit to fighting 3 fronts which we were a major part even before we entered the war. cdhicks99
Soviet Union (Russian: Советский Союз; tr.: Sovetskiy Soyuz) was a socialist state that existed from 1922 to 1991. The Soviet Union was dissolved in 1991, and the successor states are a collection of 15 countries commonly dubbed "the former Soviet Union."[2] Eleven of these states are aligned through a loose confederation known as the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Turkmenistan, originally a full member of the CIS, is now an associate member. The three Baltic States (Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania) did not join this Commonwealth; instead, they joined both the European Union and the NATO alliance in 2004. Russia and Belarus also belong to the Union of Russia and Belarus.
94extreme
yeah, you're right on the ussr thing. got it all confused with ww1. regardless, they were on the move west.. did US involvment help? sure and it made a little bit of a difference but the outcome would have been the same regardless. the one great thing from it was that it did stop russians from taking whole of europe. 513yj
i think not! if the us never helped britain, the germans would have had all of western europe, then they would have beaten the russians as they wouldn't have had to spread so thin since the battle for britain never would have took place and the bombers would have smashed russia and so on and so forth. then japan would have rolled through china and mad russia fight 2 wars instead of one but thats pure speculation and i am glad they never got to fid out. Thats fairly accurate except that the russian part is questionable. They might have just held the russians at a line... germans couldn't and wouldn't have gotten to the isles. brits had them busy in africa too. nice underestimating of the russian military prowlessness Bah, way off. Many Brits in the know confirmed just how desperate things were getting supply wise... The russians main infantry tactic was to give the peasants guns and send them running at the enemy... Maybe cause the street value of an AK overseas is about $20-50 USD compared to the AR which is like gold! If I had 1 gun to rely on, it would be an AK. A well made european one hopefully...
