You weren't the only one!

Hang in there Rob, the good news is that you shouldn't run into another idiot of that caliber for the rest of the week. It's all down hill from here... ;)

Ahhh yes....the wonderful Saturday morning early AM phone calls.......we have been open 35 minutes and I have already field these calls from some post Friday night people:

"I bent my front wheel, how much to replace it?" x2

"I lost my keys and remote last night"

"My boyfriend and I got in a fight last night and he broke my rear tail light "

It is shaping up to be one of those mornings...

FUN FACT: The day after New Years is the highest volume day for new keys and remote replacement.

That is a fun fact. I always wondered how many tow truck drivers had to jimmy doors open on holidays (July 4th, New Years, Memorial and Labor Day's).

I was just informed on the phone that Wix Filters has the wrong filter listed on their website for the Datsun 310 and that we need to get that fixed.

That is 3 or 4 different things, but it screams electrical to me. Something with wiring/hot/ground/charge? I'm not a tech, just guessing but I look forward to the answer... ;)

I wonder if it's the same person who had the battery cable held on with a nail? Lol

Not suprised at all there, I've seen more car totaled over less damage!

Sounds like something my friend did to his 1998 TDI.

Was lowered and drove through a back lane (according to him, at 30kph) and completely tore the snot out of the under body of the car...ripped his body kit clean off the car tore his cross member...and this was just a speed bump...serves him right for speeding and talking on the phone at the same time...through a back lane no less.

Almost $8000 in damage repair...it would've been scrapped here too.

So about $4500 in partsand about $2,500 labor (Don't know your rates or the time estimate). A 5 year old car isn't worth that?

B

When a vehicle's damage estimate reaches 80% of the vehicle value an insurance company will declare the vehicle a total loss.
