AZ_Pathfinder
Here was the video I found of the "New Look" Pathfinder concept, horrible. It's a Murano now, what a shame. Hold on to you Pathfinders because they're turning into this! Shame on you Nissan. http://www.motortrend.com/av/autoshow/detroit/2012/1201_2012_detroit_nissan_pathfinder_concept_video/ Edited February 1, 2012 by AZ_Pathfinder
Howie
One thing they got right: it's a unibody, just like ours. Took a whole generation for them to return to what's already been proven.
adamzan
I really don't care that it is unibody... Its the front wheel drive platform and non signature rear door handles that ruins it. Edited February 1, 2012 by adamzan
petespath
they have the frontier, titan and xterra, the pathfinder would just cut into nissan sales if they did not change it.
MAXPATH
it sucks...i hate it, the looks and everything else.
clkindred
EWW! If that what the market wants then fine but, call it something else, NOT a Pathfinder. What kind of PATH are you supposed to FIND with that thing anyway?
Slartibartfast
It's a minivan.
pathfounder
It's a minivan. It's a minivan for guys, kind of like how rap is pop for guys. It seems that all you can buy these days are big sedans, and big sedans on stilts (crossovers and minivans).
918pathy
No Thanks!!! I would rather have my 95 SE PATHIE, cuz that thing cant go where i can go in mine. WD21 rules!!!
Tungsten
It's a minivan. If you put all terrains on a regular minivan you will pretty much get the same thing. In terms of capability, it will be more than your average person will ever need.
AZ_Pathfinder
Thing looks horrible, it's very sad! It's no more capable than the quest, rogue, murano, sentra, etc.... LOL. What a joke Edited February 2, 2012 by AZ_Pathfinder
Kingman
What's sad is tons of those dumb tree huggin' city lovin' yuppies are pumped for this thing to come out. It's ridiculous.
frecklecolouredbrain
Its all hopeless. Jap and u.s markets lost their character years ago. Xterra what? that should have been the next gen pathys to carry on for 2 decades. Instead nissan went with pathy, xterra, xtrail, armada....what the hell company carries 4.......FOUR...... SUV classes? Nevermind Infinity....i've lost all hope

BowTied
Mini-vans with sliding doors etc are becoming passe, especially in the US. Canadians still buy them, but sales are dropping. Average suburbanite family still needs/wants van like utilty but is avoiding the mini-van stigma. So manufacturers rewrap mini-vans without the extras like fold flat seats and sliding doors and make higher profit margins. Works for everyone but real automotive enthusiasts, the smaller percentage of buyers (who already have an Xterra in this market segment). It may be ugly to us, but it is just a numbers game. Rick13
Geez, showed it to the wife and even she said, "Oh no, that's not right". It's a bit upsetting to say the least.

I'm surprised they didn't just drop the Pathfinder name. How is it distinct from the 50 other minivans SUVs Nissan makes?
Tungsten
Until Nissan can make something new that can compete off-road with the new Jeep Wrangler, which isn't hard at all, they can suck it.
GRNMACHINE
Maybe they had some of the 3rd generation Quest bodies left, remove a sliding door, add a regular door, keep the styling Hideous and there u have it. The new puke a little in your mouth Quest Pathfinder. Interior looks pretty good though. Who knows, maybe it will compete well with the Chevy Transverse, Buick Eggclave, GMC Arcadia. I do see alot of the General SUV's on the road.
mack101
I don't think Nissan cares much about off road. Works for me, since I'll never buy anything from Nissan again unless an Xterra, and if that it will be 10 years old by the time I buy. I'm happy with my 98 Pathy. I'm not much of a fan of new cars anyways due to the costs, insurance, crappy quality, lack of DIY-able work. Most cars don't even come with a dip stick any more to check the oil...
