B My first thought when I saw the engine was the Corvair engine, then the VW air cooled, I wonder if you could retrofit old VW engines with that design? Precise1 Posted March 11, 2009 Share Posted March 11, 2009 Only with an offset adapter to mate input/output shafts otherwise the bottom heads would be dragging on the ground. But yeah, it is basically a radial opposed cylinder design VS the inline opposed cylinder like the aircooled VWs. My guess is that a 3 or 6 cylinder would run smoother and perhaps more efficiently.
