ill make it short and easy OEM rotors were warped at 120k miles Replaced with some inexpensive-medium ($45 each) rotors off the internet... "Mountain" brand made in Japan Now the new ones are warped after only 17k miles of use MY QUESTION Resurface / brake lathe, or dont waste my time and replace with Brembo blank face ($80 per rotor)???? the diffs take around three quarts each or so (cant remember) 80w-90 is whats recommended, dealer sells pennzoil, im sure slightly higher or lower weight wouldn't hurt but i prefer to stick by the book

take it to a reputable mechanic. Theres a reason real mechanics dont get any of their parts at PepBoys. Mechanics ALWAYS have accounts at CarQuest, AutoZone, Napa, WorldWide, etc. Pep-Boys is like the Toys-R-Us of auto parts stores. I'm angry that this pep boys kid thinks he can write up a christmas list of everything he can think of, and hopes it will solve your problems. In most cases this would probably be true, so you cant get TOO mad at the guy... but the brakes thing... the torsion bar thing... thats just uncalled for and ridiculous!! Someone should fire that guy!

88pathfinder is correct. There are NO torsion bars or torsion bushings on any 96-04 pathfinder. bouncy wheel is from a bad strut the side to side sway is notorious in 1996-1998 pathfinders. They fixed it for the 99 and up models. Its from bad rear traction bar bushings. You can get the bushings from 4x4parts.com for $40 but u gotta get em pressed in. Or you can buy the whole bar from NIssan with the bushings already in for about $150 each. I see that the pep boys douche didnt even include those in his ridiculous estimate. You would probably pay $600-$1000 for all that work and your problem wouldnt even be fixed!!! That pep boys ass hole is trying to pull a fast one on you. Oh, and those sensatrac struts are GARBAGE!! Go KYB!

haha thats gangster I've seen a few Toyota trucks and one Honda Civic that got their catalytic converters stolen. Pretty lame if you ask me, they go for about $125 used but I guess its worth it for a crackhead

i think they could easily sell 500+ pairs with the right marketing. Theres at least 10 lifted R50's I know of in San Diego alone, that do not post on any message boards. I'm not even going to get started on LA!

Yeah its probably mental... snowsurf we should meet up some time for some brews and compare our QXslows I'm thinking that the A/C compressor was always a drain on me, i havent done any real testing but i'd bet money that my MPG went up by at least 1 mpg

So is it that the lights themselves are dim, or that the lights point down? If dim, then you might have charging system problems like an alternator If point down, just adjust them!

thank you 02silverpath & revgolem!!! if this helps - the compressor always made a light clicking sound whenever A/C was engaged, but was quiet with A/C off. I've had A/C problems before, had to replace a punctured condensor and had the A/C vacuumed, charged, and a small (probably 12 oz) can of compressor oil added. This was about three years ago. The A/C worked great just the day before this happened. Anyways - when it failed, first it sounded like tumbling rocks and a deep whine, but the pully was wobbling and spinning, then about 60 miles later, the pulley seized and wouldnt move at all. (this was on a trip) I wish i had cut the belt earlier! I truly feel like the engine is snappier and stronger. Noticeably better gas mileage too. I wonder if my A/C compressor has been slightly bad, hindering my performance for a while?

well the air conditioning compressor pulley siezed up on the trail today. The pulley was smoking like a chimney, and engine barely running, so we cut the A/C belt. I wasn't even using the A/C at all. After cutting the belt, i tried to spin the ac compressor by hand and it is stiff as a rock. Has anybody had this happen before? Estimated costs for A/C compressor replacement? Or could it be something simple? PS its a 1999 Infiniti QX4 with VG33E

Personally I just use the cheapest $70 battery (Interstate) and i have no problems. My OEM Nissan battery just hit the death bed at 135k miles.
