Yeah,I like wood too.But the main idea of getting it going and working good was so if I go someplace(roommate included) I could just run the furnace at 50-60 degrees and not worry about having somebody come over and stoke the stove so the pipes wouldnt freeze. And the burgers taste just fine since you wash the tanks out before using them as bbqs. You'll be surprized at how big of a hog you can get in one.And a lot of people do it.

Ok, I was going to clean the chimmy any way. And yeah I know that oil is exspense but I already have a near full tank and my parents have one thats more then half full that they've been trying to get ride of for a while so I'm going to get that. And I figure when I run out of fuel I can cut one of the tanks in half and have a pig roast. The tanks make great bbq's

Like burning oil,at first i thought it was hot dust coming out of the floor vents causeing it but no its most defintly burning oil.Thats why I was wondering if the chimny could be plugged. Also the smell get real bad by the furnace and starts coming from the vents. But its almost like it starts coming from the vents first and then the furnace.

So A while ago(few weeks) I moved out of my parents house and into this decent lil' house. Its a real decent house for the money but there are a few flaws. It was converted to a wood stove about 10 years ago from a bulk oil furnace.Well the furnace is still there and hooked up and still works but its a midevil old b!tch. But I prefore to burn wood myself since I like cutting it and spliting it. But since I'm working peice work I have a lot of time on my hands. So I started playing around with it and low and behold I got it running, and it works good...but after about twenty minutes the whole house starts stinking...I mean real bad.So heres the Q...why is it doing this...is it cheap to fix, could it be the fuel or some thing else.I mean it really stinks and gives every one in the house a pounding head ach so I figure its fums.Could it just be something plugged up or some thing esle? Also the only reason I did this was I was bored and theres a almost fuel tank of the oil next to the house and I thought it would save me some money on bar oil and gas on cutting wood for the stove. Any help is greatly thanked.

I was a late blommer to this site. But I can not say thank you anuff for doing this.So thank you very much...and those are great shots.

Well since you already replaced/checked every thing I could think of I'll go out on a limb and say maybe the computer in the truck itself is going bad.

Really...I dont believe there can fine you for not having a cat since your truck is more then 15 years old. MN has a law that any car less then 15 years old needs a cat and after that its a free for all.I dont thinks a 3.0 can be louder then a 454 with straight pipes but then again I dont live in the citys. It sound to me like there more watching you cause you have a lift and mud tires on it then how loud it is.There trying to get you to stop driving it because they dont like lifted trucks or there scared that it is dangerus to other cars if you get into a accident or they dont like subs (if you have them) and are trying to mess with you.

changing transmission fluid and filter on a 95 pathfinder
nismothunder replied to ac92pathfinder's topic in General Forums
I think if you use a open end you can get the bolts out ok and then slide the pan across. The exhaust pipe shouldnt be in the way but the heat sheild will be thats on the pipe. Yes I have been using the lucas atf adative since I came back from gilbert ORVP since the dip came out and shot atf all over the place causing the tranny to go into limp home mode.It went from slipping at 4500 up to nice smooth shifts and it stoped slipping. It is worth the money and I would use it. It is a quility product and Lucas has been a Great company for years. -
I've had the truck one done to me.What made it worse was I was in my old gmc and I jumped out of the bed of it. It started like this...I had a few screw drivers and then a few cherrie bombs(UV cherrie and 7up) and went to bed.Next thing I know theres a racing engine, horn and flashing lights and people yell get out of the way oh my god...and such.Well I jump out of my sleeping bag and dive out of the bed.I was very happy the following day to say the least. But if I did it it would be funny.

Rust worth repairing? & Death Wobble question
nismothunder replied to ChaosSaint's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
You have rust in the same places I had. I had the passager side repared except the rear most(whart you have pictured) and it has held up nicely. The front shot (of what I think is the drivers side) is still rotten on mine since I have not had the time to replace it. And the 55 top speed...are you sure its not stuck in 4hi and thats why its hard to shift? -

Thanks to nunya's insite I have decided to start this. You see them all over, there lifted and on 44s but when you look under them they have half ton axles. They have tons of stickers for perfomance parts all over there car/truck but its just for show. There owned by the type of people who will put Hurst,Kenne-bell,comp cams in there trucks just so they can put the sticker on the back. The kind of person who thinks a locker is one of those boxs you put in your trucks bed. People please feel free to add pix or comments to this as it is extremly helpful in defining the mall-crawler trend that some people seem to like.

'95 4x4 Pathfinder - Several Questions

Do you place card board in front of it or let the engine warm up good. I let my engine warm up and place a piece of card board(not for coldness but incase a car throws a chunk of ice up at the rad. I believe you on the cooler but I have seen 2 pathfinders and a hardbody burn up there tranny because of this. Two of them where the same night(-35+wind chill) and one of the coolers had exspanded and cracked, the other had siply pluged with fliud. The other case was a 93 model that had happen during the day and I believe that was the reason the tranny burned up...but the guy that it happened to had said he didnt let it warm up after sitting for two weeks. I'm sure its not a major problem with most owners or there would probly be something on this sit about it but it still has been known to happen. -

I hear that...hell I see a pinto coming I'd stay away from it. -
I was once attacked by a A-hole in the wal-mart parking lot.He said I was going to fast.I was going 15-20 mph going down a long isle.Wtf? I hate people that drive ford products...especially kids or late 70s/80s chevy pick ups and blazers. They act like there badass cause they have 40 inch tires but when you look under the bed you see 10 bolts.

My bov would be ether my pathy or old k20 with a big heavy duty bumper and wince(for running the zombies over) with reinforced glass with shutters on them.If it was the 20 I would have a old browning 50 mounted in the bed or a custom topper that aloud me to enter the cab with out get out of the truck much like a old blazer. 33 inch terra grapplers on the pathy or 40 inch boggers on the 20. I would remove the rear seats on the pathy to have more room for the chics I'd pick up(whos going to turn down a ride when zombies are all over the place?) I would have food and tow a old school trailer filled with fuel. My armuments would consist of ether of my shot guns(ithca 37 or winchester 25 with the plugs removed) ,ether my remington 700 or ruger 77 or marlin 35. and probly a magnum or two...357 or 41 are my preford choices as there not as heavy has the 44 or 50. I figue this would is a pretty good combo since I have not listed any thing that is hard to find and should be found at any locals house. And I would not bring tooth picks I would bring those little flas/pick things since I would not want a tooth pick to stab me in the heart. -
And when was the t-belt last changed? Good to have you aboard

'95 4x4 Pathfinder - Several Questions
nismothunder replied to DoctorBill's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
One word of advice. If you live in a cold climate like I do...do not install a aftermarket tranny cooler since the fluid will thicken up and cause the tranny to burn up since the factory cooler was placed in the rad to heat the fluid on extremly cold days.I have not seen a good tranny in a junk yard in my area with a after market cooler because of this. But then again most of those coolers where placed on the front of the rad.I dont no if they can be placed any place esle then this but it seems like a really bad idea.Having Ice cold air blow on to a cooler that is working to cool the Atf fluid. If you decide to install the cooler any way I would at least put a piece of card board in front of it in the winter months. Also since you get a lot of snow in your area then why not get a small plow(plows for RTV's work nicly since there not as heavy as others) I am having one made with out the hydros so it mounts to a receiver style hitch on the front. Also since your in wastington where I dont think they salt the roads in winter then I dought you will have any frame rust issues unless the truck came from a diffrent area. And yes the pathy will work really well in snow.I live in MN and we get our fair sare of the stuff and I rarely ever have to ingauge Four wheel drive even when theres a foot+ on the roads. Also bewarned that even if the manuel says its shift on the fly 4 wheel drive I have tryed this and it will only produce loud noises and reduce T-case life. Also since the prevics owner did not keep records I would change the t-case/diff(rear at least) and tranny fluid and filter. And Dex 3 is fine for the tranny you dont have to go out and get the nissan factory stuff. And if you have a LSD you are made for the winter since this works awsome in the snow for traction. And I have gotten 23 mpg before and my truck has the 4.60 rear diff gears. My last outing I got 22 mpg going 65mph with a 5w-20 oil and I had about 300 hundred pounds of stuff in the back,I had taken my K&N filter out and installed a newer(still for the same truck) Fram air filter so 20+ mpg can be done. Have fun with your truck, treat it right and it will last a long time. -
I thought the 94-95 pathys had the tranny cooler problem solved by the factory.Since the 94-95 rads are not the same as earlyer models?
