I think of it as a good idea,since your all are not ford junkys,if I went to a exploder site they'd be like*buy it,there great trucks,buy it*.But hear you hear mostly what people really think of them.Like if I was looking for a pathy I wouldnt come out and say what I was looking for,just that I'm looking into one on this site.What I'm saying is that if I went to a site that is dedicated to xploders I would not be getting the best advise,it would be bias...

Look into a smittybilt bumper like slike as on mimime and have some buddy weld some angle iron on to it to protechet the front.Or you can get a texastuff front bumper and brush guard,these bumpers are both tough as nail(the smitty built I know from my mud truck that it can hit 4-6 trees and not bend the bumper,just plow the trees over.

Easy,bang the flakes out with a hammer then attack it with a wire brush to clean it up and to get any crap left over before sanding it.I would drill any flowage holes on the side but if your putting a plate on the bottom then yeah,it will let the crap get out unlike the stock flowage holes.I cant think of any thing else,but make sure the battorys disconnected.

Well I said piss on the exploder cause the guy turned into a dick after my third vistit to test drive it.A buddys coming over with a mid 90s olds achivea,quad-4,5spd,2door,looks real nice,I'll see if its worth the 1200 hes asking.

It would be kinda hard to not put it in right since you have to use a screw to reattach it,but you may have amoved it some,But I think you would of noticed that.It could be that theres a build up on it though.

Could the ratiator be rusted and its causeing the fluid to be forced into the over flow bottle and leaking from there?Could also be leaking from the heater coil. Back firing- I dont I really any thing to add to this,but my 95 would do this on cold mornings and it was caused by the rotor ir dizzy cap(I replaced both)

My 95s cam seals where pretty well chewed up at 170ish when I had the t-belt replaced(fyi-it started as a water replacement but when I saw what I had to do to get the water pump out I was like I cant do this so I farmed it out.Which wasnt a good idea since the guy I took it to had it from thanks giving until dec 18.He was more concerned about opening his bowling ally then repairing stuff)

Looking To Get My Tranny Fixed...

I'd probly do a five speed swap,but I'm unable to find a decent parts truck that has a stick. And I can tow more with the auto any way. But I was asking is,does any one have any good luck with a signal type of tranny cooler,and is there a brand I should look out for.Like is there a cooler that has the fins placed to closly together like the stock unit. The truck I'm looking at is a 91 model(I stated 95 before) that was the sellers first car(hes a kid) and it has 93k on it.But he said he bondoed a lot of holes on it.So the frame is probly junk.But I figure if worse comes to worse I can drive that in the winter until the t-belt breaks or the frame shakes apart and do the swap. -

Ok so a few know that my tranny went south a while ago. Now is a time for a rebuild with winter coming on and every thing. But what should I do,rebuilt the tranny in it or get a used one to replace it. I'm going to be taking it to a transmission shop at some point in the near future to have the tranny pulled and disassembled to see if it rebuild able or if I need to get a parts truck(already have one picked out,red 95 model) But hears what I'm looking for,should I add a shift kit and tranny-cooler(t-cooler is fore sure) If so what kind(for t-cooler) should I go to amsoil atf or stick with dex...I figure the amsoil would be good to use right off the bat so the tranny gets broken in on it and I can slowly wean it back to dex to save money at filter changes. Thanks for any advice.

Nope wont hurt it and yeah you can seafoam it,but isnt it a 2 stroke,might do more harm then good since its twenty years old.

If your doing the water pump and t-belt you might as well do the cam seals too.Since there probly starting to leak. 94-95 t-belts last 105k(when they should be changed,my95 had 160k on it and it was never changed until I got it) All told, if you know what your doing it should be about 4-6 hours to do it all.

Fender acustic.Got it and a hard case for 300 bucks. I can play good but havent been able to play in like a year since I have to tune it every 10 minutes and that got old fast. Usally play G-funk rr,steven stills,and other good music.

auto?stick?If its a auto does it have a aftermarket tranny cooler?If not I wouldnt do it since you'd probly burn the tranny up.

Thats cool...never thought of a pathy as a rally car though...would make a decent one if its kept low and has a lot of travel in it.

Maybe in your area 4runners aernt exspesice but hear I found a 94 sr5(only one close to my house) with flaking rockers,rotten qurters and 212k on it for 2k.And it was beat.My dad looked at the bonneville and said it was a nice car.The engines dirty(probly better then having a nice clean one) as hell but it started right up with one pump and sounded nice.But theres a clicking when you back up.Which I think is the park stop,which only needs to be adjusted,and I have a new Transgo shift kit for the th350.If I get the bonniville it'll get at best probly 17 mpg going 55.But like I said before my dad had one that had more then 280k on it with out any majer trouble,and the only reason he got ride of it was because it rotted out(92-93) and the brakes locked up.I know where theres a yugo for sale for a hundred bucks so if I really was crazy about milage I could get that.Yeah ttb(eats tires,my 89 150 is ttb) is crap but its still better then IFS if you want to lift it and stronger to sinces its a swing axle design.But now I found a 88 crown vic that looks nice and has a big 351 in it and my dad says they go like hell(long story,my grandfather had a grand merkey with the engine and he told my grand mother not to give it to him because he'd kill himself in it)But my dad is tired of fords and he'd be pissed if I bought one since I already have 2(,89 150,02 150) and my parents have 4 (06 escape,92 tores,00 150,86 c-vic) and he's sick of fixing them.The xploder is out since I'd only give the guy a grand for it since it needs tires($500) and I'm not going to pay the full asking price for a used car that the guy has knows nothing about the history. I'm sick of jeeps since I have one that(now that I think of it I think the jeep has the same engine thats in the bonniville) needs a clutch and is probly going up for sale to pay off my hospitle bill.

The xploder is nice,like I said it looks like it was taken care of,never smoked in and runs like new.The hardbody I dought I'll get since its been sitting at the same car lot for three+ years and is currently sitting on flat tires and covered in leaves plus they want $3500(plus its a base model,no ac or any thing) for it and I dont know what the frame looks like.The xploder I'm talking about is a first gen and there probly the best made.The second gen where probly the worse with the model year 2002 being the sh!tish model to get.The bonneville is thirty two years old and isnt rusty and has new tires,muffler and was just detailed.It looks nice and probly drives nice but I havent driven it yet but it was owned by a old man and has only 97k on it.

Yeah I was orignally looking for a 4x4 but my grand father,dad and uncle all drove a 78 bonavelle with the same engine from 78-94 and the car had more then 280k on it when it was finally junked.The car goes threw snow pretty good since its a full size and since it was a old mans car that looks like it was taken care of(really it looks new other then wear on the door handles from opening the doors)has new bfg T/A's on it and should last a long time I'm looking at it.But then again I think I would feel bad driving it in winter.I dont need a 4x4 for winter because I drove a 86 crown vic most of the time in the last few years(but it was a beater).I would still drive that but its starting to blow a little oil(191k),both front door handles are broke and the rear brake lines are froze on so I cant bleed them(new front lines and master cylinder)I would drive a fwd car but I cant find one with a stick (the bonnys a auto) and it seems like they have little to no traction on ice compared to my pathy or the vic.I looked at a nissan sentra with the 4 banger and a bunch of stuff done to the engine but I dont want a car with rotten rockers even though the sentra was pretty quick.I want a car or truck that will last a long time.But now I'm looking towards a 2 wheel drive 88 hardbody with the 4 banger,a stick,and only 70k on it...but its a 2(probly 1) wheel drive pick up...and pick ups suck in winter since theres no wieght above the rear tires.But yeah I'm looking around.I would of gotten slicks pathy but I would of felt bad driving it in winter since it looked real nice.I showed the car to my dad and he just smiled and said what would I want with it,I cant take that down to the river to my trails and its a old mans car.But it looks real good.I tried the xploder and every thing works in it even the factory casset player but we found a little rust on it(not bad for a 16 year old truck) just a head of the rear wheels on the rockers.Oh and its not new paint its just looks real good still.But it runs fine 4x works and all it needs is tires. The k5 blazer is out because(like the bronco) it'll get 15 mpg at best(more like 10 with the 400). But thats the same as my old k20...I'd make three hundred bucks and have to go fill it just and spend half of it(k20 was always thirtsy=4mpg) And yeah I ramble on like I'm drunk and I cant spell(didnt you know that already) but when I ramble on its because I want to get everything I want to say out at one time.
