  1. Yep,lifters or studs in probly the problem...ether live with it or replace them...stp will make the ticking stop for a while if its the lifters(on mine at least)
  2. Ever think there real asshats and dumped the oil in the tank to fark with you even more?Oil that smells like gas sounds like a valve or burnt rings,my 95 oil smells like gas but thats because the oils getting past the rings...
  3. I use cheap supertech dex VI,works fine...
  4. Spectre has a kit and so does AirRaid, the AirRaid one is plastic though...
  5. Dont be blamming SeaFoam...you engine had leaks but the sludge and crap where blocking them...you sure it aint your cam seals leaking, its probly all over the timing belt if they are,I wouldnt drive it until your sure the oils not on the t-belt(it'll shred...
  6. Do a tranny cooler if its an auto...
  7. Thats vasoline nunya...get it right...Prep is for the day after...
  8. You can run it in front wheel drive only if you bend the rear drive shaft all to hell.I wouldnt advise runing it long in front wheel drive only but one of the hot modes on 90s chevys is to slice in a switch so you can run them in front wheel only and have a high range/low range gear for the rear axle by using the transfer case and there CV's are junk compared to ours.I dont think the cv's would be messed up but you will need to block off the rear tranny hole or the tranny will blow it self dry...
  9. Well if its a bearing you can jack the front up and pull and push on the front wheels to see if they move or not,if they move its ether a bearing or ball-joint,if there dont move then its nether one and something else...
  10. Well you said you stprayed wd40 on it and now its not making as much noise,it could just be the belt it self thats bad...
  11. Yes,congrates on your new mini van,I always thought the same thing, but I dont think you need a diffrent cooler nissan did a recall on them in 94-95...
  12. Well the factory jack is one of the kinds that you have to twist the handle to use,not the pump the handle type.Usally there in the rear cargo area on the driver side under a little plastic cover, the handle is usally under the rear seat.I will say that a cheap pumper style is more use full then the factory one because even if you loose the handle you can still use it...Sorry but I cant post pics, but its a hydrolic one,not a sissor type.
  13. You need to know what cylinder is at top dead center other wise the lifters might hit the pistons...
  14. Hate to tell ya but the back doors aint that fun to get in,or out of...
  15. I hear its cheap if you get a 5 spd rig to swap from, just time consuming...
  16. I dought you would need to bleed them if you just replaced the pads,I think its the vacuum booster since you said it works good when you brake hard...
  17. Leaking master cylinder? On old cars that have vacuum operated brakes(I dont know if the pathy has this or not) and if you had a vacuum leak or a cam that didnt build anuff vacuum at low rpms it would cause this same issue...
  18. Just reading it but arent vg30e double over head cam and not singal? If I may be confused but dosesnt double over head cam mean a cam on each head,or is it 2 cams on each head?If its the second then disregard this post...if its not it says on the add that there for SOHC engines...
  19. Nope, you need a new tranny, thats what mine did,you burnt a clutch plate,I'm sorry for your lose...Just revs in third,no gear there at all,you can try changing the fluid but it probly will be just a waste of money...Again I'm soory for your lose...
  20. When you say lift do you mean suspion lift since thats all you can get for a CAr50.Awd21 you can lift 3 inchs for like a $100 using a body lift.If the wheels are 6 lugs on the CAr50 then ya the wheels will fit,I'm dont know the lug number though on them.A R50 will probly be in better shape since not many people wheel them(sorry pezzy)like the wd21's and there mostly driven by socker moms and stuff when they where new.I would look for a decent wd21 first but like you said there mostly rotten in your area, but it never hurts to try. They did come with a 3.3 v6 stock that a bit better then the old vg30e that you have(I think 168 hp vs. 153) and with a stick they would be peppy(I've driven a 3.3 frontier and I liked it,does pull better then the 3.0)Hope this helps some...
  21. Had had that problem with one of my junk yard goodyears I got, compared to my roadrunners and dueler it was a inch taller and wider...
  22. If you go to aftermarket tires and not the exact same tire that was on it from the fatory then you must contact the tire company to see what the best pressure is to run in the tire to make them last. The little tag in the door or glove box is for the stock tire(not a dirrfrent brand/size.tread type)the same tire,Like my mom went from goodyear wranglers on her f150 to goodyear tracker 2's so she should ask a tire place what is the best pressure to run(not wal-mart,screw those sob's)Any halfway decent garage will have a book from each tire company that will have all the tire pressures for diffrent trucks/wheels/sizes and whats the best to run.Thats the only way to make them last...and the PSI on the side shouldnt be used as a gauge as they are maximam tire pressures(as in you shouldnt go over them)And if you fill them up to that psi you will have more wear in the centers...
