don't you need the '01 rather than the '96?

mine was filthy after about 70k miles. Of course, I was living in the desert southwest at the time. It all depends on how much crap you let through your air filter. Use a good quality one and don't drive in dust storms and you may never need to clean it.

for your 92 XE, I believe you can consider it a spare fuse. Universal parts... I don't think the 92's even had an option of heated seats.

My connector on my MAF was bad. The hood was touching the wire cause the connector had it going straight up and every time I'd hit a bump, the truck would run like crap. I finally got hold of it while it was rough and flexed the connector/wire and it made a big difference. That evening, I rebuilt the conenctor and turned it 90 degrees so it'd stop hitting the hood. no problems since.

I always wondered about the succeptability of an open filter like that.

Now that you've had it in place for a bit, how's that bracket holding up? Is it a simple 'C' shape to get you above the wiring or did you build some structure to it? With the shape, mount points and weight of 2 full PH8's, I was wondering about wobble/flex/banging on underside of hood. Mine is sitting on the bench waiting for a warm weekend (which may be soon) and I like the idea of a tray or something to stuff a rag when changing it. Perhaps I'll figure out a pivot system so I can rotate them 90 degrees before removing. hmmm..... (puts enginerd hat back on)

if the engine was sitting for any length of time, I'd use cheap oil and other fluids for a break-in. Then do a good flush and replace with a good high-mileage oil. I use Castrol in mine

best thing to do is get her up on a lift and start pushin and pullin on things to find out where the play is.
