no, xecaribe. you can't tow a car. unless it weighs less than 3500lbs.. or you want to prematurely kill your pathy. i tow our 18'6" bayliner with a 125 outboard motor (about 2800lbs) with ease with mini (5 spd). i don't even use 4 lo to pull the boat out of the water.... she just grabs n goes..... king will get a hitch and also pull the boat eventually.... but not as often, that's why i didn't lift mini much. she's the worker, king's the wheeler. i KNOW a pathy (WD-21) can tow over 3500lbs.. but i do not advise it. i get very little (if any) sag when towing the boat, and i never use 5th gear. i run 55mph in 4th at 2800rpm. the biggest killer is running low rpm's when towing. keep the rpm's above 2500 and you'll be fine mini at work

if i remember correctly, you're in ohio right? so is GG. maybe oyu 2 can work out a deal, he takes truck, parts it out and you get a %age of sold parts? I would DEFINITELY try craigs list, there is SOMEONE out there who needs a parts pig, like me (but i am in Cali), and would be willing to pay $500 for it..... don't.. junk it. it will make me cry. i need so many parts... and there are no pathys around here cheap or in jy's. i am sorry to hear about your health issues, i hope you feel better soon and it's nothing serious.

sounds like it's starving for fuel..... does it run ok once you get going?

that would be awesome, and as above, it sure would be a great advertisement for Nissan! i think it's just mainly the price of gas that would keep people away... didn't a club do something like this in australia if i remember? i think, if we had a year to plan, save, and prepare, we could get a lot of pathy owners involved. and moab is awesome

Timing Belt - How Long Can I Put This Off ?
Slick replied to prginocx's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
as above. DON'T WAIT! unless you have an unlimited amount of funds, and want experience rebuilding motors...... oh.. and you have AAA -
i use the redline MT-90 as well, and put 5 quarts in through the shifter hole too..... do it ASAP.... a trans will cost you more than a few bottles of lube..... i got 5 quarts from summit racing in 2 days for $38

I am posting this for a friend who is having trouble logging in on his new account (thanks Dan, hopefully we'll see him SOON now). so for now, I figured I'd get the ball rolling for him. Here is his question: Can anyone tell me if I can withdraw the camshaft from my VG33E Pathfinder with the engine still in situ. I have recently replaced the cylinder heads after having the valves replaced for LPG. Since putting it back together I now want to replace the cams!! I know, don’t say it!! I know that I will need to remove the Rad and possibly the A/C condenser to allow the cam enough space to come out of the head. I think there is sufficient space to get a socket between the firewall and the cylinder head rear aperture to gain access to the rear cam bolt the holds it in the head on the left hand bank (Bank without the plenum chamber wrapped around it) But the right hand bank looks a bit tight. I am hoping that once the plenum chamber is removed I will have sufficient space to gain access? I am looking to add the JTW S1 billet cams. Anyone got them fitted. I have read a Nissan Article http://www.nissanperformancemag.com/august04/pathfinder/ that states you can get up to 40 hp gains from just the cams alone on the VG33E due to the soft profile of the OEM cams. Anyone noticed that amount of power gain? I am suspicious and actually expect around 15 hp. Many thanks for your interest~ marooncobra

as B said...... and yeah... overall condition, serivce records are a PLUS for sure, especially on a pathy. checkf or rust (depending on location) of the frame. notorious for it in the rear area. a manual tranny is definitely a bonus.....
-
on my 31" michelins it says max of 45psi...... i run them at 34-38 depending if i am towing the boat or retrieving trailers for work..... off road.... 22-28 my 33" STT's are max rated @ 35psi..... i run those about 32. off road about 18-22 depending on conditions

hate when they do that sh!t...... i love it when i go anywhere to buy parts and they treat me like i'm stupid (typical "oh looks! it's a woman! she must be stupid"). til i give THEM a little edgeemeecation on pathys..... then they shut up.
-
welcome to CA price gauging (oh, and mine was free)
-
ooh, hate when that happens..... but glad you got 'er all fixed n runnin again. i think your pathy was trying to tell you not to get her oil changed at wal mart......... when it was time to go in, she refused. let that be your sign
-
