there are 2 tire straps with ratchet tie downs up front, a chain to go over your front axel, and a chain in the rear ..... if they are a reputable u-haul, then when they do the "hook up book" it will come up RED, which means they are NOT to allow that vehicle on the trailer....... a tow dolly is OUT for sure. and u-haul price matches, and BEATS the competitors prices.... of course, we have ways of cheating. like. the vehicle has no motor or trans...... none of our trucks are diesels now. they are all new gasoline powered...... vurry nice if i don't say so myself..... if you do call me, i can call you right back so it doesn't cost you for the call.....

i work for u-haul (i'm a mgr) and no, we won't allow a QX4 on our AT's.. too heavy. and it's lifted, with more than likely larger tires..... our AT's don't allow anything over a 31" tire.. after that they are too wide/tall and the tire straps don't fit over them. the truck will cost you a FORTUNE..... whereas the trailer will be HALF the cost, and no gas........ i can hook you up (i can make reservations for a pick-up/drop off ANYWHERE in the USA).. if you want, then call me @ work (209-577-1030) and ask for Rachel... i'll get you a good price.

well, if you're mechanically inclined you can do it yourself. i highly suggest a FSM for the job. you will have to pull pretty much the entire head apart and rebuild it..... but it can be done at home.

no. their wires are in a protective sleeve..... it's really easy. you'll see where the old o2 goes through.... it's the only one like it...

we need to start the "drowned pathy club"........ first off, have you pulled your spark plugs? have you checked under the seat to see if the ECU got wet? If it didn't get wet, have you run it for codes? have you opened the air cleaner box and cleaned it out/checked for water in it? have you checked/dried out all sensors and connections? do a compression test..... that will tell you if anything is wrong there. good luck. and welcome to the club

I'm with red on this. it's no joke and not something that can be put off, or allowed to go over it's change intervals. $20 belt vs. $800 motor rebuild. you choose.

as well as bushings, it could also be dead coils and/or shocks in the rear.

it is EASY to do. not a PITA. running the wires is easy as well. a person standing at the fender on the pass side as you push the wiring over the bell housing is a bonus. that way they can grab the new wires, and shove the old ones down to you.

i paid $100 to have king aligned, so yes, $70 is a deal. do it! home alignments are ok, but not if you don't know how/can't adjust the cast & camber.

if you already have a manual trans, why not just swap yer auto to a manual?? save some $$

as above. PB blaster is your friend. and a torch if all else fails. o2 sensors are easy to replace (once the old one is out)..... if your new one has the wires. just follow the route of the old one

for a quick fix. some heat resistant tape under the top boot (so it's not noticeable) should do the trick for the short term, or, go to a JY and find a pathy that has the boots intact. OEM will cost ya

I know a couple of folks put chevy 350's in their pathys. and a couple of gas to diesel swaps..... just depends on your states emissions laws and fitability. i just pulled and rebuilt mine. mucho cheaper and no vehicular mods needed... everything depends how much $$ oyu want to spend, how long oyu want your truck off the road and what you'll be using the pathy for primarily.

i paid $50 for my HF cat.. and have had no issues. as for 02's.. couldn't tell ya.. mine is happily in place down there.

in the garage section and here..... this subject has been covered quite a lot. your trans is about to die... it will need to be rebuilt. you can do it yourself if you have the know-how and tools, or oyu will have to have it rebuilt to the tune of about $1500.

yes, if the protective boot underneath the outer boot has been damaged, then oyu will get nasty heat coming through. carefully pull the outer boot up and check for damage. when i removed mine i got impatient and ripped a corner of the inner boot... and pay for it every summer.........

humph. i have an XE and an SE. and although my SE seats are pretty thrashed.... both trucks are still comfy. and yes, i am old, and have back problems.... and commute 50 miles a day.... but mini's seats are nice n formed to my butt now, so she's comfy.. kings seats just have more doodads n gadgets to adjust them......
