Well, there was another shaker so admittedly it is getting a bit wierd... This time it was a 4.8 centered at North Lake Tahoe, thats what is so wierd. Thats 4 4+ quakes in a month, scattered about other than the central coast. Hmm, makes me wonder... If I stop posting either the house colapsed or it's below sea level.... B

If cost doesn't really matter (and they dont cost that much...) I'd say put on the high flow cat and a nice cat back system. Reason being if you ever needed to sell the vehicle, or move somewhere that requires smog then that part is covered. I don't think it would effect the performance very much with a high flow cat... B (there is also the environmental factor Slick mentioned...)

Ditto to what JJ said... Definitely use oil on the tap and try to make sure you are straight to the hole; the tap will try to lean sideways when you first start. Pushing the tap in while turning helps this. Dont use enough force to flex things or you will be drilling again... :o It's really quite simple. GL B

LOL Bud, I doubt if that could make a difference... Maybe I dont understand your measuring points, but my pathy is 1" off between all wheels from the ground (changes randomly), but you couldn't notice it with the eye and it drives like a truck with jacked suspension... B

Hey 94 Pathy, I'm a machinist by trade so I can help... First off, have you already drilled out the holes/ broken bolts ? Second, 5/16 is the nominal core hole size for a 3/8-16 tap so you can just tap the (existing ) holes in that size. What ever you tap with, make sure to champher the hole larger than the tap size, it will help things greatly. Third, heli-coils are great, but maybe unnecessary, are the holes clean metal and how thick is the wall ? Fourth, U drill is the size; american measurement drills come in letter, number and fractional sizes ie, U, #7, and 5/16. It totally sucks and is left over from several industries refusing to standardize. Regardless, any hardware store worth a crap will have a U drill waiting for you. Let me know whats up, I'll pay attention and get you on the right path... Bernard

LOL, same here GG... My truck is still damaged in the front (frame) and as the last autobody guy said, maybe I get lucky and crash it... Seriously though, I'm more concerned with life and limb (mine and some of theirs). It's amazing the number of people who will cut off a SUV without a grill, fog lights, lower valance, etc that wanders about the freeway at 70 MPH. At that point, Oh Well... Maybe it's just me, but I swear my LSD MT Pathy loves to try to spin out on wet roads. If I go straight, turn the wheel and step on the gas, I get a nice panoramic view of the area... Driver to the right, house to the right, guy that just went by, guy behind me (Hello !! please step on the brakes and give me some room while I get this bastage under control), house on the other side of the street, parked car on the (old) left, and so forth... It has significantly modified my wet weather driving, I try not to use the gas Not against the LSD though, just suprised how well it hooks up sometimes (or lack there of). B

Been in Cali for 35 years; quake ??? What quake ?? We had a quake ??? Oh... :asleep: Quakes are a nice disaster, there is no season, there is no warning (ie sense of dread), a big one is very rare, it only lasts a minute or two and the survivability odds are VERY good. You just go along with your life and roll the dice, just like everyone everywhere does every day. Besides, that is what the Pathy is for, urban escape when the roads are buckled and all the Esplenades (whatever) are in the ditches, spinners still spinning... Every place has something that can kill you, blizards (big lizards), hail, tornadoes, hurricanes, floods (hear ya about the dams mws), tsunamies (namies without tsu), lions, tigers, and bears, Oh MY, boredom, religion, city water, blah, blah blah... Just pick the place you like, and be mildly prepared for any of the local disasters de jour... B

I have ProCompES3000 shocks; they are great in the front, but I think a bit stiff in the rear. If you ride with a lot of stuff and/or 4 people they are alright, but alone and unladen it tends to jolt. Maybe go with the ES1000 for the rear (I think those are basically stock replacements). B
