LOL Red, took me about 5 minutes and still have it... Somewhere... B

Yes, that'll be fine. Just use some blocks so you can get it high enough and obviously, be careful !!! I only have a compact 2 ton floor jack and have used it for 10 years on EVERYTHING without a problem. Yes, it would be nicer to have a 3 ton shop model, but again, it will work. B

Put an aftermarket grill guard on it and just hit the damn deer (try to brake of course...). The truck is tall enough that you don't have to worry about it sliding up the hood and slapping you in the head... MWS, just BUY the damn disconnect, you don't have to reinvent EVERYTHING !!! B
-
AHAHAHA !!! Now thats funny, I'll have to try my GF's 95 civic with my 95 Pathy key when she gets home !! Yes, it's not unusual for keys from the same/similiar vehicles to work, the main reason chipped keys were used... B

In my experience, slim jims work better for unlocking, not actuating the door handle mechanism... Worth a try but I don't think it will help. You need to get at the door latch linkage. Move the passenger seat forward and try to pull the pannel at the rear of the door. You shouldn't need much room; this may be a flashlight/mirror on a stick and 90 degree needle nose plier operation. Next, find the dingus that actually releases the latch (sorry I don't know the mechanism). Hopefully there is nothing that interferes with the latch bar/rod/lever from moving. Sorry, thats the best I can recommend, but it is the way I would tackle it. B

Take an old (or new) hack saw blade. Belt sand/grind the teeth off. Put a wide shallow notch on one end (angled shallowly up) and on the same end but other side put a narrower more angled notch. (Use a cold chisel but deburr it). Wrap the other end with some duct tape or whatever. Insto slim jim !!! Route the device down near the handle/ lock mechanism and go fish. It's not hard, just takes some feel. I worked at a car lot and used to practice on the used cars when it was boring... B

No it's not odd, it's a goal. Like was posted before, it's Mr Jim's wishes, and I personally agree with it and like the effect. I've been to plenty of the flaming sites and thought most of it was just asshats venting their crappy lives or being macho and anynomous. LAME !!! The three sites I belong to and visit with any regularity are roughly the same in respect to civility and profanity. NOPRA is a great place. We rib each other a lot without crossing the line which is why I wonder why some poeple complain. Makes no sense to me, but then some people look for offense. All I can say is enjoy the relative peace, if you want to be tar and feathered, there are plenty of sites that will accomidate you... B

Sounds like this should go into the HOW TO section... B

No, not unless you use the LSD additive. Don't leave home without it if you like your LSD... Hmm, that sounds funny... I seriously doubt it is 1/4 inch on a Jap car. 6mm maybe (.236") ?? As Max says, that seems large from memory 89, pull a line and measure the nipple with calipers or mic's then convert to metric B

How many miles do you get from a full tank?
Precise1 replied to zack1978's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
DOH Eli !! You either need a tune up, tune down or lay off the gas !! Per tank doesn't make sense. You need to know your MPG. I average a solid 17 mph with warm ups, traffic, freeway, the full mix and I cruise right along and step on the gas in traffic when warranted. I never seem to put in more than 15 gallons at about 250ish miles (31's so the speedo is a little slow) so that would put me at about 340 for a full tank. Not the best, but I have seen worse.... I moved closer to work and save $120-150 a month in gas and am working on a vw bug and bmw motorcycle to help offset any additional fuel costs. B -
My last Nissan truck had a hole in the head light lens and would fill 1/3 with water in the winter and stay that way till late spring. I never changed the bulb in 10 years. (considered putting fish in it) Either you are handling the bulbs without gloves on or you have an electricial issue... Thats my guess B

Cool Snake. I glad you like them and thanks for the follow up ! *sigh* Why do people not listen and use something like PB Blaster (a penetrant) rather than wd-40 (a light lubricator and water displacer). It really makes a world of difference... On that note, the mold maker at work swears by some specific stuff. I can't remember the name, but I'll find out and post it tomorrow B

Whats this damn 3.03 you keep talking of ?? B
-
LOL, been there !!! Hoorah, it's working fine today !! For me it usually does. Slow is the exception... B

Damn, that explains SOOOO MUCH !!! -alcohol- -argue- -alcohol- :furious: -alcohol- B

Interesting idea... Nicely done JJ. I'm thinking up something that is off to the sides to prop the glass open for when you have something long to transport. B
-
Hmm, no clue... You could ask in the diesel section though... B
-
I do volunteer my time for a reason. I see value in it... B

Some peoples children !! And their friends... Well, no real trends jump out yet, but I think with more votes we could pick up on generalities. If there isn't an exact scenario, just pick the closest !! Sheesh !! B
-
Sheesh mws, I tried !! That is amazing though... It's bound to shrapnel on you any day now... :o B
-
Well, thats about as inteligently as I can break it down right now. Please vote and feel free to post caviots, it may flavor the empirical data... Thanks ! I had to throw in the MT as a control group... sssh B

It's easier to look at in the other direction... There are MANY people who have posted about fried automagic trannys WITHOUT coolers in the 80-130k mile range. Then there are those who have tranny coolers who never post about fried trannies, hence the lack of "mine lasted XXX" I'll tell you what, I'll set up a poll for you. It's not a card, it is advice... The info is here. Someone else would just have to search for it to supply it to you, hence the search RECOMMENDATION. If you don't find all the info you need, people are happy to try to fill the gaps, either typing it or finding the thread they are thinking of, by searching.... Calm down Bud, it's not like you haven't gotten good advice. B
-
Ehem... Cool, glad you got it figured out !! As 88 said, issues like that can be real head scratchers... B
-
Absolutely, if not the third... TOO MUCH INFORMATION !!! B
-
COOL !! I'm glad the enginerd nailed it !! Please post about your future changes as several people will be very interested... Snorkels for the TBI units have been 'impossible' until now. I almost bought an 89 and was palnning to prove people wrong but it didn't work out. Martin (the enginerd) got it instead... Too bad, I was looking forward to creating a package, but I didn't need another Pathy with front end problems... B
