  1. They can get stuck on pretty good. On mine the gaskets were pretty much sealed to everything and tore apart when I removed the manifold, that'll cost you about $35 if yours do too. A few taps with a hammer will break it loose and with some wiggling it'll lift off. The coolant line under the intake connects towards the front to the thermostat housing and at the rear to a heater hose. Even if those aren't leaking, take it out anyways and make new gaskets with RTV so you know they will never leak. If you didn't drain the coolant you're going to have a hell of a mess when you pull that manifold off and probably fill the intake chambers in the head with coolant. I've done it. Another place they leak coolant is the 90 degree bypass hose and that can spill a lot of coolant into the valley or down the front of the engine. Replace that too while you're in there. How good of condition is the mixture heater in? Over time they get brittle and break up sending chunks of porcelain into the engine. If yours is in anything but perfect shape I'd knock all that crap out of there and seal it up.
  2. Post some pics of that. I have a few designs drawn up but never made them, I'd to see one actually made.
  3. Oh really? There was a lot on the steering wheel but none on the dash. I bleached the center console and the hard plastic panels, didn't want to bleach the steering wheel and have it do some serious damage because it's already in pretty bad shape. I need a new one anyways. I just noticed the seats are still damp from washing yesterday, and since it's 25 degrees they're frozen. Lol.
  4. Really? Another mileage thread? Here's the real one where everyone already answered. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=25358&st=120
  5. Usually. Sometimes with enough CV axle spinnage they'll engage but it's violent.
  6. Gutted most of the interior, got rid of all the mold, shampood the seats and carpet, put everything back in and drenched it in Lysol. The seat belts were the worst. That'll teach mold to grow in my truck again!
  7. Oh, so I can blind myself when the sun hits it... I'm sure I could find something to put in there though. 3 it is.
  8. I'd be down for one of these. Don't know if I'd want 2 or 3 gauges though...
  9. The Exhaust Gas Temperature sensor is a California model thing, just another BS emissions part they had to throw on there. It realistically does nothing. Reset the ECU and see if the codes come back.
  10. No way the missing cover did any damage to the belt by it's self, unless something sharp was pressed on to the belt while the engine was running long enough to cut it apart. There are a sheit load of people, myself included (on the Z not the Pathfinder), that run these things without the cover. Put a new belt on and run a compression test, might have gotten lucky. If not you'll have to do some head work.
  11. The bent needle is pretty common, I've seen a lot of them. Good looking truck for the mileage, too bad it's 2WD though. I'd like to see how long it goes for!
  12. Have you jacked the front of the truck up? That usually helps, sometimes VGs can trap air like no other.
  13. Those are the same ones I have, mine were white too. They are old school American Racing wheels for a Chevy. Mine are 16" 3.5" BS.
  14. Opened the door and saw mold. Everywhere. Guess that's what I get for letting it sit for so long closed up. Also drilled and extracted the broken manifold studs.
  15. That wire really doesn't do anything. The signal wire for the tach is white and comes from the resistor, as was said above.
  16. Have it anodized pink too.
  17. Dead wrong. A good alternator will always charge at idle.
  18. Yes, oil cooler. Yes, it looks the same. No, it does not look anything like a WD21 starter. Yes, newer caR50s had coolers from the factory.
  19. Tinkered with the engine a bit more. I have to take the oil pan back off because I forgot to RTV the rear main seal housing. Got too far ahead of myself.
  20. I'm almost 100% sure that's part of the mechanism for transfer case shifter.
  21. That's a ticket if a cop sees you with off road lights on, sometimes even uncovered.
  22. fskc dude, really?! http://npora.ipbhost...topic=7466&st=0 Pinned in the garage section.
