  1. '87 - Toyota 16" wheels '88 - Nothing as of yet...I'm sure in the future plenty of parts will be thrown in.
  2. STOCK TIRE SIZE IS 31x10.50x15 AND 235x75x15 (base models)!!! 3" body or suspension lift yields 32s, 3"+3" suspension and body lift yields 33s with some rubbing, trimming may be required. This topic has been beaten to death over and over, and over 100,000,000 times again.
  3. Marge, maybe take a picture of your shift lever for evidence of this? I've never heard of a WD21 with full time 4WD and it appears that many others haven't as well. It's always possible that outside of North America it was an option that 99% of owners opted out of...
  4. Mine sits about 2/3 consistently, as long as I don't go up any long steep hills, then it starts to climb up to 1/2 or more. It freaked me out the first time I had it wheeling.
  5. Actually, the ones for the older Toyota trucks are the worst. Flimsy as hell and when anything spills over it leaks right onto the heater controls then down to the radio.
  6. Could just be your fuel injectors clicking. I know on a lot of Maximas, the fuel injectors click loudly, and a Maxima freak at work asked me if my Pathfinder was MPFI and when I said no, he said you're lucky because they're known to click as they age. I've never heard of it happening in a Pathfinder before, but hey it was good to know.
  7. Cat pipes are extremely illegal because you are removing the biggest part of the emissions system (you know how people are these days...), but will not throw a check engine light as the oxygen sensor is up stream of the cat. If you have a shop make you a cat pipe, do not tell them what it's for, or they simply won't make it. Just tell them the size of pipe and the 2 bolt flanges, as well as the angles that they are positioned at. Unlike most rigs, the Pathfinder's cat flanges are not perfectly horizontal they are like / in the front and \ in the rear. If you truck was ran really rich at all, your cat is most likely somewhat clogged. After my Coolant Temp Sensor on my old '87 went out and dumped a bunch of gas in, the thing would not move. Almost no power, flooring it barely did anything, could not accelerate barely, etc. A Magnaflow high-flow cat cleared that up and gave a big improvement over stock and a good fuel mileage increase.

They aren't bad, but can potentially be problematic if you're sliding over rocks and you land on one and snap it. Slick has a Trailmaster lift on one of her Pathfinders and hates it. If you stay away from rocks you will be fine.
  9. Never seen that before. And wood trim?! Weird bro...
  10. That definitely doesn't seem right. I'd go with what B said, check for tune-up evidence and if it needs one, do it. Also check your catalytic converter for clogging. Run the ECU codes as well, may not show anything but it's free and only takes a few minutes.
  11. The Nissan dealership, and very expensive.
  12. The hardest part would be removing the field windings from the starter case. They torque the screws securing them to insane specs... Other than that, starters are cake.
  13. I have the fuse as well, both in my '87 and '88.
  14. Probably less resistance, better connections, preventative maintenance, etc...
  15. Also the dash is completely different.
  16. It won't help, the LCAs don't need to move to remove the CV axle. I think the positioning of your jacks is the problem. One jack on either side of the truck so the opposite side of the truck has support when you life the one wheel off the ground. Your rear wheels were chocked, right?
  17. X2 on what msdaves said...
  18. I would think he knows his home quite well...
  19. Sticky motors, sticky window tracks, poor switch connections, poor connections from the switches to the motors, worn regulator, temperature...
  20. The factory lights aren't relayed. Did you check the connections to the lights themselves? Also, take the switch out of the console and make sure they're well connected as only one wire provides power. And remember, they only work when the low beam headlights are on.
  21. Your blinker relay might be tripping out on you. Fast clicking indicated a burned bulb with no resistance through that circuit, you may have a good bulb but the relay isn't reading that way. Check the pins in the connector to the relay and make sure they are all good and not corroded/broken. The flasher relay is under the dash above the brake pedal. It looks like this:
