  1. I heard thru the grapevine that you need the steering wheel to even get close to bronze on any three of those tracks. I've played them for hours myself(with a regular controller) and like you can only get 10secs from bronze on an amazingly(mostly) perfect lap. I've watched the example a dozen times and tried to replicate the corning he does on a few turns...IMPOSSIBLE!(with a controller apparently) I fly right off the track every time using the same speeds as the example.
  2. I LOVE GT5!!! Best racing game ever by far... I have the X2010 and it's a freakin beast. Top speed.. 302mph.. 90deg turns at 150mph+ like it's on rails.. If you don't have it yet keep grinding B-spec endurance races while you sleep/work to get up to lvl 35. @ lvl35 you get a free X2010 Then you go online and piss-off everyone who doesn't have one yet. LMAO PSN SCRNNAME: TRAILCHASER I'm usually on LATE at nite.(after the wife goes to bed and I get the HDTV all to myself)
  3. My wife and I got a FREE $475 inflatable kayak over some nonsense like that... Amazon said they had 15 available, so we ordered one and waited...and waited... Finally I emailed them a week later to ask for tracking info that I never received and see what the problem was. They emailed me back that my order must have slipped thru the cracks. Another few days and still no tracking number.. emailed again.. (long story made a little shorter) At the 1 month mark I asked for my $$$ back. Got it refunded in about 2hrs. Next day I get a email with a tracking number... 3 days later the kayak shows up... I email them to let them know.. They claim they refunded the money and NEVER shipped a kayak to us.. I claim they did.. They tell me congrats on the free kayak then because their "system" says it didn't ship and they go by the system... The non-kayak that we received has been awesome and we use it all the time for fishing, river running and photography.
  4. I have a lot of these emails in the last few days. I think they sent one for each video I have uploaded of a pathy. I have been assuming they were spam... *edited to say: I just sent them my email address... Think I can squeeze them for a few $$$? You know they are making money, and I did sweat a little making some of those videos. lmao
  5. LMFAO!!! I didn't even notice until you said something. My kids are looking at me funny now for busting out laughing at the laptop...
  6. http://www.vehiclesforgarminnuvi.com/ That site has loads of vehicles for the nuvi. It's where I got both WD's.
  7. Yes sir, I actually have two wd's for it. The other one is more stock with smaller looking tires. I also have a really nice built sheep for it. I had to DL it since it was so built and cool. lmao Did I mention it has a nice 3mp camera, wifi, and offroad directions? I also Dled a really dirty girls voice named Sedara.(She's actually REALLY vulgar. I love it, wife hates it, can't use that voice with kids in the car for sure. )
  8. I got a garmin 295w for Christmas and just thought I'd share a few scrnshots from it. Let me know if you recognize anything in the pics. lol
  9. Thanks for posting that link. I spent hours reading it. Then I read a different trip report from a guy who drove from Wyoming to Panama. I'm probably hooked on that site now. lol

The only images were of the drawing that Luis did.(very nice work BTW) Other than that I think "Texas (Nissan) Offroad" may have triggered the lawyer alert. lol Nothing to worry about of course just thought I'd post up the email just in case anyone was thinking of making shirts or calenders in the future. I have already removed everything Nissan related from Cafepress. I have had two shops on cafepress. One for TNO and one for ForemanMetalWorks. The thing that kinda gets under my skin is that both shops where suspended because of Nissan's claim. obviously the FMW shop had zero reference to Nissan. I understand that is a cafepress problem, but it seems to me that it would have been just as easy for Nissan to send me an email asking for the removal of their copyrighted material, along with an nice explanation as to why. Instead of going about it arsehat route and having my whole account suspended. The most disappointing thing is that I was on my way to being rich off those Nissan images... I have $16 in Cafepress cash since 2007. When it hit $25 they'll send me a check. I'm curious to hear what everyone thinks of this.
  11. Ball Joint Spaces with angle correction. (CNC Milled) Before After Snorkel Head made on the manual lathe and man mill. This is the blinker cutout on my front bumper. I figured the CNC could do a slightly better job than my torch. (I need to repaint the bumper) Here are some videos. I did this for my dads birthday. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sq91x0366NA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSm4Ln6rA0g Here is a video of the HAAS CNC Lathe at work. AKA making some chips fly.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLfD3oMe91M Threading some handles. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4sVcYeKxno
  12. Wow B, That looks like some fun work to make those. unccpathfinder, Those are some cool little engines. I've been thinking about building a little precision sterling engine for kicks. Mr.510, I've always wanted to work in the aftermarket field for autos. Tons of custom stuff that you get to help design. Nothing quite like seeing an idea go from your head to paper to program to steel to application. I often wonder if guys sitting behind a desk talking on the phone for their whole careers ever get to feel that sense of satisfaction... I have been a machinist for a few years now and worked for a shop that was actually pretty lenient about us making our own stuff as long as there stuff got finished first. First up, my new improved hinge for my bumper mounted tire carrier. My first hinge was a nightmare that I hacked together when I was still just a welder. I just sleeved two pipes together the first time. This was one of the first things I built for myself after getting the job. It was made using a WWII German lathe. When they bought a company in Germany they shipped over a few items from their machine shop. Everything on those machines is obviously written in German which makes learning extra fun. lmao All the pieces. Welded to the bumper. Custom Lock for my Jerry Can Carrier. Where the barrels meet there's a 45deg taper... It would be easier to hacksaw thru what the lock is welded to, or just pop a hole in the can and drain the gas into their own container. This was made on a manual mill and that German lathe. My boss and I modifying a Titan wheel to fit an Xterra.(we did all four for a guy) Before After(different wheel. probably a front judging by the brake dust)
  13. The only linkage on our 5-speed trannies is to the transfer case. The normal "stick" is only held in with a snap ring. Lots of 5-speed owners pull the stick and pour gear oil in the hole to refill the tranny with the correct amount of fluid.(gl-4 ONLY)
  14. My advise is just drill out the head like someone said with a 6mm drill. When the head falls off you can then remove the hub. Take a propane torch and heat up the the steel around the bolt so that it expands.(like was said earlier) Don't twist back and forth. Clip on some good vise grips and pull up on the bolt as if you where trying to loosen it, but don't put enough pressure to make it slip. Holding that pressure TAP(not hit) the END of the bolt lightly. If you twist back and forth you run the risk of snapping it off inside the hole.(Which is a horrible problem with nissan OEM bolts for some reason) Tapping gives you the same rust fiction breaking efforts w/out the torque. WD-40 is old tech. It's now JUST a water displacer, or a cleaner. Not a penetrating or lubricating oil. Use some Blaster on it and you'll be fine. As for the brake cleaner... Don't worry yourself about it too much. It is only toxic if you weld over wet BC.(the heat converts the chemicals into phosgene gas) In comparison it like me saying "If you point that gun at yourself and pull that trigger it could kill you" and people hearing "Guns can kill you." So they vow to never have any contact with them. Yes they can kill you, but if used properly they are(safe) great tools.
  15. I was tight on $$$ when I did my timing belt/water pump and bought a kit that contained everything to do the job. I can't remember the price, but it was a lot cheaper. They sent the timing belt with the square teeth first and the auction description said it would fit any pathy from 87-95. When I contacted the seller he told me no problem the rounded tooth belt was instantly shipped and I had it fast. He told me to do whatever I wanted with the square toother so I gave it to Bryan(hoohaa) since he was wheeling a 93 model. That was quite a while ago and it's still going strong, but I haven't been in there to see how it looks. I looked to see if I could find the seller I used but it was too long ago.
  16. Yep, lots of logging company's used to pay workers with coins only good at the company store... Those are VERY valuable now if you can find them. Metal detecting in old logging/mining camps that were abandoned is the best way to find them. They are pretty rare. I wonder how you would pay rent and the electric bill with a walmart card. lmao
  17. They put about as much weight on a couple of my 34"s as they could fit.(half way around the wheel) It's smooth as a caddy thru the full range of speed with a top speed around 90ish mph.
  18. Lake City, 1963. 7.62x51 - .308 Blank.
  19. Good rant... Everyone in this country(legally) needs to read what the founding fathers had to say about big government. Then we the people need to knock big government off it's pedestal and get this country back to being the what it once was. We could start by casting out every politician with dual citizenship.
  20. A cache of coins. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RymfToIUWoE
  21. Here in Arkansas we have no smog test or even inspections. We also have nice clean air to breathe.
  22. It will be even scarier when they start paying walmart employees with those cards instead of real money...(Probably with slightly more $$$ if you opt for the card) Is that even legal... Oh wait, we're talking about walmart here.
  23. Not mine, but funny as hell. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sKgF12FBM0w We have two Siamese cats and a Red Heeler.
  24. I also find lots of bullets..(this one was weird) Cleaned up I've also dug up hundreds of $$$ worth of regular coins. (clad) Lot of silver, tons of junk and quite a few interesting items that make you wonder how the heck it could've ended up where I found it. Before anyone asks I'll answer the most common questions... Yes metal detecting works, it's not magic as some seem to think. Most detectors are good for about 4-8" of depth in normal soil. Wetter is better. Expensive machines will get you about a foot deep, but who in their right mind wants to dig that deep anyway..?(MOST of my finds are about 0-3" deep, and I will pass on lots of hits that are too deep) Yes I can tell how deep something is before I even start digging. Most detectors will ID your find for you. Mine can tell the difference between coins, gold, iron.(It will even tell me if a penny was made before 1982..no kidding.) lol I doesn't just tell me that something metal is in the general area, it pinpoints the area to dig to the point I can stick a screwdriver in and hit the target almost every time. No you can't play with it. lmao (I've been asked that question 100's of times) Yes you can help me dig, and you're welcome to have whatever we find that I don't want. LMAO!!! (I tell kids that all the time) 75% of what I dig up is trash, and no I don't just put it back and cover the hole.. If I spend my time to dig up trash I'm gonna throw it away in a proper place. 95% of the time when I leave a place you'll never know I was there.(because I cover my holes with care.)
